Lets say by 2024 CD and Baffert have reconciled.

2025 KY Derby --5 TAPs, 5 Baffies, 5 from Chad/Brad, is this a good thing? By
2025 you might even have Tricky and Saffie with a few Derby prospects. A 20
horse Derby field, made up from runners from 6 or 7 barns?

We will always have 20 runner Derbies, for better or worse, until CD can
squeeze a few more in the gate.

I have been thinking that limiting any Derby trainer to 3 starters in any
given year might have the ancillary effect of making Preakness and Belmont
better betting races? (And certainly CD does not really care about this.)
