It was probably good for last winter's Aqueduct meet. It had Kiaran repping Luis Saez.

I found this. It might be a bit outdated but most of it is accurate.

Not here. I'm a lifelong Mets fan which disqualifies me from anything with the word intelligence in it.

What was amazing was there was an historic drawing of the area and it showed the Wilson Mile Chute extended past would be the outer rail of what would now be the 1863 club. I never realized that. Will have to talk to Mike Veitch about it.

Speaker after speaker patting themselves on the back but not a single word about those who bet on the races. No recognition at all. Like we don't even exist.

Dunph - 3 years ago
Thanks for posting the final figures from the Arkansas Derby card.
Does Dunph qualify for the "WTF" Hall of Fame?

Hi Richie,
I'm Catholic but not a big fan of Christmas. Too much hypocrisy and materialism. As for racing, I refuse to let the A-holes of the industry take away my enjoyment. That might mean I have to search far and wide - setting the alarm at 4am sunday morning to watch the Hong Kong Derby - for enjoyment. I feel for the young people that get into the game with enthusiasm and optimism. At

From 1963 through 1967, the Belmont Stakes was run at Aqueduct at 1 1/2 miles. Race started at the 3/8ths pole on the far turn.

Thank you for posting the link. If Mark Johnston, who trains more 2YO winners in the world each year, says they are at their heaviest at age two, I have to believe it's true.
There is a fantastic young sprinter in Hong Kong named Aethero who weighs 1254 pounds of 570 kilograms. At 17 hands, it's amazing how fast he is. But, it has to be a challenge to keep him sound.

Great point but I think all bets are off this year.

Not sure when they weigh them. I think the day before. The problem is horse's weight varies a lot on raceday since they have had their feed and water drawn. As long as it is consistently done, it cam be compared.

The Hong Kong Jockey Club form guide lists the weight of each horse for each of their races. For a horse coming off a long layoff, they might be 50 pounds higher than normal then their next few starts might show less weight as they get fit. A horse that is going the wrong way might be carrying less weight than they should. They have mostly older geldings there so you don't have to worry abou

I'm thinking of going to the man bun. Although, it didn't seem to work as well for Noah Syndegaard.

What is amazing is that Chic had two calls that will live forever:
"Secretariat is widening now. He is moving like a tremendous machine.â€
"Affirmed's got a nose in front as they come on to the wire." His call of the 1978 Belmont stretch run was flawless.
Day to day I wasn't a big fan but the guy stepped up when the lights got bright.

My question is what state? For instance, NJ has ADWs but NJ residents cannot open accounts out of state nor can out of state ADWs take bets from NJ residents. So, NJ residents cannot open an account with NYRAbets or any other out-of-state ADW.

Still on the turf. Most of the rain missed here. It looks like there will be more coming up from the south later today but the main track and two turf courses are Good.

Your point about Northern Dancer achieving what he did as a May 27th foal explains some of his impact on the breed. As great as Horaito Luro was, the horse had to have a genetic component that was superior and passed on to his many sons and daughters.
Tapit won the Wood and then was trounced in the Kentucky Derby and Pennsylvania Derby. Somehow, little by little, he became the sire he is will b

Lou Holtz quit the Jets after 13 games in 1996. He was 3 and 10 at the time. Bill Belichick quit after one day with the famous "I resign as the HC of the NYJ."
Have to go - Mets are in 30 minutes.

They were rocked by the cobalt scandal and now this. They do an awesome job keeping bettors informed but like most blowhard countries that criticize our racing, they are no cleaner than anyone else. For example, the Brits don't even drug test every race.

As far as I know, they do not conduct blood gas testing at the races in Australia. They do have severe penalties if you are caught doing it or with the equipment but they do not have a black box.
