This guy is my pick on Saturday. Fastest horse in the race will somehow be 4th-6th choice in the betting. I made this mistake before, but not again on Saturday. I know, no horse has won with only 2 races since..…….. blah, blah, blah. These are different times. Those that have run the most, and have the figs to take this, have to pass more than half the field. This guy won’t see 15 of the h

Zero chance he’s favored over Zandon. I think he will end up close to his 8-1. Maybe a tick below but should be close to the ML.
I’m most interested in where the Japanese horse ends going off at. He’s my pick as the steam horse this year.

LOL!
Nice to see him win with his one mount today. I always enjoy watching him ride.

Lots of buzz surrounding this one. Needs a new top, which is certainly within reach and she's facing no world beaters in here. Keying this one on top and using Mott's horse who looks ripe to run a new top as well and the two shippers (both with numbers to contend) to round out the tri's.
Good Luck!

Weight adjusted he's right there and should get a good trip, so at 30-1 I wouldn't talk you off him. My issue is he's coming off a top on only 3 weeks rest and I expect a regression today. I also think that while he may get the lead he will have to work for it, as JV has to be looking to do the same with Channel Cat. I'll definitely be using Melvin underneath, but not on top

I have him going backwards in this race. His tops have been at the same track and the short rest has me pegging him middle of the pack here.
I keep coming back to Sombeyay and Fast Boat as the two I want in here to beat the favorite.

Agree. I really like her in this spot and was singling in all multi-races bets.
What do you think of Bonny South running a new top here? She basically ran the same race all of last year and then jumped up in her first start as a 4 year old. I think she'll eventually get to a number that puts her in the mix but not sure if Saturday's the day.
Good Luck!

Tough sequence indeed.
8th- I think one of the two favs will run back to their top, which will take this. I'll be keying the 3&8 for this leg. Two horses who I think can jump up and make the exotics interesting are the 7&11. Take out the one route race and the 7 has a nice forward moving pattern. A new top probably doesn't take this, but he could sneak into the tri at d

If that's the case then this race just got a lot less interesting. Vekoma will go off solid favorite and tough to toss. Will still be playing race by trying to get the 4 or 7 into the tri and toss the 10 and 1.
Good luck

Nice to have Belmont back with a great betting card today. Shug sends out two exciting colts making their 4 year old debuts and as much as I think both have big 2 year old campaigns ahead of them, today is a day to play against them at low odds.
1. FF- has the numbers, but let's see how he does first time away from Service. Toss at low odds.
2. Performer- super talented colt who I th

Tough beat but nice call on the horse.
I bet this gal in the BC hoping they would do exactly what they did today. Sadler is the one trainer I can't win with, but when I ignore him he blows up my tickets.

Agree that POH should run huge. She is the A play underneath.

Anyone else like this one? I think she has a good shot to get back to her top today, which makes her a player at potential double digits odds. She is well drawn and pace should be strong up front to set this up for her. Will use her over the 1, 5, 11 and 14.
Good luck.

This guys last three trips have been head scratchers. This is a horse who wants to be up closer to the pace. With the 1 slot you have to think they put him on the lead, especially in a race devoid of speed. In a race with very little betting appeal I will limit my play to singling him in a horizontal wagers.
Good Luck!

Time to get some handicapping discussions going.
Love this horse today. Yes, he had a very fast pace to run into last time and won't get same set up today. But at 15-1 ML you get a horse that has a history of throwing consistent figs together, and a pair up of his last gets him ITM if he can avoid another 5 wide journey.
Keying him with the 11 &12. Mr Dumas looks like he could

Going to try and knock TTL out of the exacta. My key will be Gov M who looks like he is sitting on a strong forward moving pattern. Pletcher a master at getting these type of horses ready to throw big figs in FL this time of year, and this guy may end up 3rd choice despite the hype. Keying GM on top of IH and EI in exacta and tris.
Good luck!

Going against this one hard today. Long campaign and last figure is below some others in here. Looking for at best a repeat of her last, which could bump her out of the tri. At what will be even money there are plenty of other options. Also think Dunbar Road is ready to pop. Will play this one with underrated Ollie’s Candy and BP, who both have the number power to hang in there. Even thoug

Completely agree with SW. Rosario is going to have to crank this guy up earlier to take this. Predicting another ridiculously low price as everyone keeps playing more distance will eventually get him home.
I also like EB and agree no way we get 30-1. Still, at even at half the price he and the less talked about CB will be the 2 horses I key in my trifectas. SD is already faster than the

How do people look at her last race? Paired her top but ran on the deep rail which was death for most others. In light of that, does she get extra credit and actually ran a new top? I struggle with how to handle runners who run well in dead rail situations and often get burned next time back. Would appreciate thoughts from others who have been successful with this situation in the past, and how

Agree with McKenzie. He is a single for me and think the 1 turn mile is perfect for this guy. Also like Strike Silver at a big price. Ran a couple of fast races as a two year old and now finally gets back to the dirt. Will use more underneath but but have to throw him in there as the sequence looks chalky to me.
Good luck.

My point is unlike the past few years the West Coast horses leave me unimpressed coming out of the race. The 1st and 3rd betting choices now combined 0-6 this year. Your point is fair regarding the track and I'll reserve judgement on GW until I see the final numbers, but at the moment ex. Tacitus I think Omaha has this group over barrel and missing the TC may have been a blessing come summe

Can't wait to see where the numbers come in on this race. After saving ground on 1st turn GW ends up in the parking lot making his rally. SA Derby 1st 3rd finishers laid eggs so not sure about current West Coast group having much of a say in the summer classic.
Outside perhaps Tacitus, I have a feeling the Travers winner may not have run yesterday.

Ouch! Time to grab the bourbon and takes a few hard swigs.
The way things are going today I'm sure we're about to see MS whistle and blow the Derby wide open, 5 lengths in front on my trifecta of improbable, tacitus and tax.

Have seen this too many times before from CB. Import comes over wins prep with then explodes next out. I think Capla has forward move coming and at 13-1 today's the day to find out. Keying these two in all tri slots with Procter who should get back to her top today. Also using the other Brown, even though she seams to prefer softer ground.

I also think Tacitus is mostly to run his race and will be keying in all slots. I think Improbable runs his race as well and along with Tax will be playing these two the heaviest with Tacitus.
