These are not your typical horses coming off layoffs ... They are stakes quality animals and if memory serves me correctly, most ran very well in their debuts so they had a license to run well off the bench. VH was surprising in the Kings Bishop, however people are still talking about how good he looked in the paddock. Still 2nd time Kiaran or 1st time bin soour is a very potent angle ... and the

Its the springs ... Saratoga Springs ... The Spaaaaaaa ... long known for the recuperative powers of the water ... Seriously one reason is GTC. Greentree Training Center. You may have seen the workout designation in the form. Right next to the track, it is a state of the art facility. Metee and others have said the horses are doing much better there. Turnout paddocks and plenty of space to graze.

In my opinion there is a big difference in saying that he wagered on a horse he publicly said he DID NOT LIKE and wagering on a horse he did not tout ... Andy clarified his position, I said I understood and apologized ... Thinking back is it possible he said he did not like the horse at whatever odds with 15 min to post but really liked him at whatever odds + 5 at post ?? Because it is all about

I am pretty certain that I did not suggest that Andy wagered on horses that he publicly stated he did not like. To be clear, because as lukiladi suggests that could possibly tarnish someone's well earned good reputation, that is not what I meant although I can see how it may be interpreted that way. So I apologize. To be honest I value his opinion and have learned much about when NOT to inclu

No he didnt ... but have run into little Andy down at Belmont and have seen him trying to get home horses other than the ones he just touted ... Just dont understand how emphatic he was against this horse is all ... so I wonder. However your point about moving the board is well taken. Thanks

Is it possible that the talking heads on NYRA or OTB can use their pulpits to perhaps influence the position they are taking? In one such instance regarding the above entitled I believe that happened .... Any thoughts ? Should I just not pay attention ... Has anyone ever been talked off a horse ?? I wasnt this time but came close ...

Would appreciate if anyone can comment about this pattern ... Slight regression followed by a new top ... Forward moving or bounce candidate? I have watched his replays and while he did get away with soft fractions he finished up much the best. Thanks all ... love reading your posts and have made me a better horseplayer !

Jerry - too bad you are going to miss the TWS party ... Having taken an early look at the VA Derby perhaps making it the ROTW as Nicanor looks to be a vulnerable favorite ??? Especially given his running style ... Thanks ...

Cant disagree at all with THEHHP on the point re: Champion. Still see Gorgeous George climbing in the slop at Monmouth .... SNAP !! Impossible to predict when it will happen, but some are more obvious than others and this may very well fall into that category ...

Talamo has rec'd lots of press recently. I dont particularly care for him and thought that his ride in the Wood was sort of a gift in that he was put in a "no lose" situation courtesy of the bad break. Wonder what his instrux were had the horse broken well ??? Same for all the horses who were just "prepping". Does Rosario have a mount ?? Also - while POTN may run well ove

Does anyone know if account wagering through twinspires is open to NY residents? For some reason I thought it was restricted .... Was with a friend who wagers through there and found it quite appealing ... ALSO - take for what its worth but watch the early $$$$ on Dubai day ... If you did last year you would have had Jay Peg and Sun Classique ... Cheers !!

To All - havent seen any mention on this board of the generous place/show payouts on the Preakness or maybe I just havent seen . . . I always thought that as a rule of thumb with an odds on favorite you only play place/show if you expect said fav to finish off the board. Did so many horseplayers just pound for the win on BB that it created a skewed pool? Something to look for in the Belmont? Any

I am interested to hear the TG response to your question about alternative plans. FYI a week or so ago there was a public forum held at the Racing Museum concerning the local economic impact of a racing shutdown. Among others the panel included the head of the NY Breeders Assoc. and the author of an economic impact study on horse related activity in Saratoga County. What they said was, regardless
