offlee wild - 21 years ago
I loved the line going in to the blue grass. Ran the rail trip, and liklely needed one, hopefully the # is still in line. Hey Jerry, I'm going to buy anyway, as you can tell, but is that blue grass # ok. He was looking good before that race. Richieby RICH - Ask the Experts
Re: Question for Jerry?? - 21 years ago
NYH hasn't gone back, runs 29% off tracks and has rail. IMO fuuny cide has an explosive line, basically paired 2yr top, foward move soon sky soldier and empire maker big new tops , in the old days they would be toast.by RICH - Ask the Experts
Re: Dancing in the ROTW? - 21 years ago
Have not read the analysis, but OFFLEE WILD has a good line. If he runs the 1, how can you not bet him on derby day?by RICH - Ask the Experts
Re: Too Fast Too Early - 2003 Assessment to date - 21 years ago
How about empire maker? Big 6 first time out, big top last out. There was a time 3-4 yrs ago that a big 6pt top would be a throwout 80%? of the time off that kind of top. Can we beat EM in the wood? Richby RICH - Ask the Experts
Re: Buddy Gil - 21 years ago
I did not like the first 2, and didn't expect the second. I definitely won't bet on the third to happen, missed the wedding ain't attending the funeral, unless of course we are talking 10-1 or more, which won't happen.by RICH - Ask the Experts
Re: ROTW - 21 years ago
Hey Guys, I must disagree on a couple of your observations. Chris, I don't see MWC line as explosive at all, to me the line is flat, the bi is also a bad sign. This type of line doesn't excite me at all. OPM I don't envision any # that would make me want to play Kafwain off the last two. I love DD's line and I also give OT a shot. In regards to OT, the new top is coming. I seeby RICH - Ask the Experts

horse has leg amputated - 21 years ago
Take a look at the DRF, the horse that brokedown last week in the 9Th at GP, was euthanized on the track. Momemnts later on the backside a vet mysteriously amputates the leg?? The horse belonged to the shuman/gill team. pretty odd?by RICH - Ask the Experts

Re: rebates ? - 21 years ago
I like the idea of rebates. It's kind of funny, I just realized the ctotb system is starting a points thing where you get points for every dollar bet. The more dollars bet the more points you get to buy things. A hat maybe, a drf, a jacket, or a thorograph, on and on. A rebate system for the small fry.by rich viscardi - Ask the Experts
rebates ? - 21 years ago
On the subject of rebates, do they return those rebates in cash? Like you bet 20k for the day and breakeven, do you somehow get 2k back. I'll never qualify for one, just wondering.by rich viscardi - Ask the Experts
place betting w/ big odds - 21 years ago
I can't ever recollect having placed a place bet before, I usually will protect with exactas on big odds horses. However, Is there times where a place bet on (10-1++) horses make any sense. Jerry B, I believed may have recommended a place bet on Volponi. I find it hard to make that bet. Any comments?by rich viscardi - Ask the Experts

If my memory is ok, Left Bank did earn the best # on thoro, I still don't like the increase in neg#'s. At this pace within 2yrs we will be at -8's. the year:2005 THE RIDDLE: After the -8, What does a "O" mean ANSWER: an ugly "bounce"by rich viscardi - Ask the Experts
Re: A suggestion on anchoring the TG Figure Scale - 21 years ago
Chris, you are right, with all the current neg #'s you see these days it kind of muddles the read sometimes. When I started 6yrs back you never saw the #'s you consistently see now. The "0" was always the holy grail.by rich viscardi - Ask the Experts
congaree - 21 years ago
I see the sheets gave out -3.25, his thoro must be -5? It's getting kind of weird with the big neg #'s all the time.by rich viscardi - Ask the Experts

Wed 6th and 9th at sar - 22 years ago
I see one horse, COLONELLA at 10-1. Her last is approx 2pts better then anyone. Has 6 wks off top, nice work at sar, first time lasix. Let's say she'a 10% to go foward, 40% to pair up, I figure this is about a 60% chance to win, makes her 7/2. Possible major overlay, and a key horse, you don't see them like this to often. In the 9th, MALAGASH (7/2) back to 3yr top first out at 4,by rich viscardi - Ask the Experts
Saratoga 8th race - 22 years ago
Another race where the favorites are vunerable. Forbidden Apple 2-1, a total throwout, at the weights the slowest horse in the race. The 7yr has shown that the 3.5 is where he stays at best, that makes him slow in this race. major underlay. Del Mar Show 5/2, has steady progressed over the years, ran his 3.75 tops early last year, stoppped in June, ran back to his top first time out at 5. Wentby rich viscardi - Ask the Experts
Saratoga 8th and 10th wed - 22 years ago
Hopefully they stay on the turf. In the 10th I believe the favorites are extremely vulnerable. DIXIE DOREE at 15-1 is my play for the day. They put her on the turf july last year and she immediately showed her preference for it with a new top (14)it took her until oct to do it again. She then moved foward to 12.75, 13, and a new top of 12.5 to close her 3yr year. She rested until april and reelby rich viscardi - Ask the Experts
