Download Sundays first race at Bay Meadows and take a quick look. The morning lines:

Not that hard to find real money sometimes. $450+ for a $1 tri (IL OTB juice). Wish I had bet more on the winner

Gotta believe Essence will be lower, perhaps single digits. DRF will have a big write up on Godolphins quest and make a big to do about EOD already winning at the distance. Single digits would not surprise.
Agree with Tony, PD will never be 20-1 and becomes the "wise guy" horse. Saarland has been featured on ESPN website with daily activity write ups for 4 months and the "Ogden Ph

Last year at this time, we already had (actually my download shows 4/19) sheets on 23, 2001 contenders, sheets for all the Derby winners since you've been in business, plus the full fields of the previous 5 Derbies and the numbers they earned. Now the best we can hope for is after the draw sometime next week Wednesday.
I could send you that 704kb file if you need it, LOL.

The negatives:
The last time a gelding won the Derby, the stock market crashed in 1929 Clyde Van Dusen, though in the 90's Best Pal 91, Prairie Bayou 93 and Cavonnier 96 all ran 2nd.
The Spiral (formerly Jim Beam) isn't a bastion of Derby winners, only Lil E Tee has ever achieved the feat and he ran in the Arky Derby.
The last horse to win with a six week layoff was Needles in 56 w

Has to be some bad info here. Of the six that finished Iwin (6th) had an inside trip but finished 25 lengths behind the top pair, so no way is he pairing up his last an 8.
According to the boss noone moved forward (big clue LOL)
I'm guessing that this race came back ALOT slower than we (I) imagined. Blue Burner with his five wide trip on the 1st turn and a 3-4-5? wide 2nd turn ran 3/4 slo

Mark: When asked which of his horses he expected alot from this year, Michael Tabor answered without thinking "High Chapparal (sp)" plus he's got another powerhouse in Hawk Wing. When asked about J-berg and the 2000 Guineas, O'Brien answered "well, there only so many I can run there" Not exactly ringing endorsements. Perhaps J-berg wins by a pole, I won't have h

Maiden claimers are a crap shoot much of the time. It's imperative to look at the Trainer stats of the firsters and see how they do in the 1st time Mclm. Jock/trn combos might reveal intent.
I always look for a horse who has a small new top, even if slower by several points they'll often surprise the public by racing well at a nice price. Unfortunately, a general rule of thumb, if a M

FWIW: In the past they've had a "contenders" download available after the Lex, approx. 25 horses with previous Derby winner sheets, not sure what they'll do this year.

Waiting for ze final numbers you'll need at least a fig in the 2 range to win.
1.Perfect Drift: has never gone back, Spiral looks to be in the 1-2 range (Azillion 2.0 out of the race) rest unconventional route to Derby.
2. Saarland: another who has never gone back, perhaps picked up a 2-3 in Wood? Flipped palate?
3. Sunday Break: wide trip close finish to Bud/Medag 1st big, big # may be

At the ESPN website there have been 15 weeks of continuous special Saarland updates, their adopted horse I guess. We'll never see anything close to 25-1, perhaps 11, 12-1 as in future pool one.

I'm guessing they e-mailed you the newsletter but your hotmail/yahoo accounts rejected it as the newsletters that I've received at my home ISP address are large Adobe Acrobat files 1.5mb+ Try signing up with your ISP home account and you shouldn't have any problems.
Unfortunately I don't have the full AA program which might allow me to pick the two pages out of the newsletter

Visit www.dmtc.com which is Del Mars website. Scroll down the page and you'll find a link to pedigree info, the next page has another link click that and you'll be able to enter queries about a particular horse. You have to fiddle around with it to figure it out i.e. the horse in ? will show up on the left side (sometimes there are multiple listings for a name) click on how many generat

Likely full overflow field in this years Derby. Earnings in Graded Stks will determine who will start and who will fill the Churchill Dowms undercard. Amounts in thousands. I've omitted those that I know are injured or off the Derby Trail. I believe one of the fillies will take the plunge.
1. Essence of Dubai 1.3mil
2. Johannesburg 990
3. Repent 937
4. Harlans Holiday 821
5. You (f) 800

While the races for the World Cup were a nice addition to the Chicago early edition (but basically useless with few horses having info of value) I'm certain that other users and myself would have much preferred the last three races at AQU and the Oaklawn card listed on the cover be included. A lousy trade off IMNSHO.

Well, there were 3 replies listed before I posted the "help" post. If you scoot down to my Camino Real post (2 replies) and the San Rafael (1 reply) neither replies are visible, perhaps some technical glitch with posts logged in very early in the a.m.?? If one of you guys replied to the "Old Time Derby line" would you mind reposting it? Thanks in advance.

Changeintheweather ran last Sat. in an alw. came out of that race with a 10.2 barely won against similar fig horses, top one being 8.1. So I'm guessing the fig is correct.

Cappuchino (5/2e) is the one to beat with a big 5pt top to a 2.0. There's plenty of speed inside him so he's virtually guaranteed another wide trip. Out of the same race Yougottawanna (5-1) is coming off a 4.3 top to a 4.2, stalker will lose ground on the 2nd turn plus he spots everyone 5 pounds excluding Capt Squire and Dantheblue.....
Danthebluegrasssmoker (2-1) had a 2.1 top to a 6.
