Am curious views of this non-DQ.
Would appear there is no issue that Alvarado's filly bodyslammed the other filly. The only question was that the fouled filly was looking like an also ran and ended up an also ran. Is the rule that no matter how egregious the foul, if the horse fouled wasn't going to do anything, then no change? She probably lost a placing, but not a significant pla

am sorry to hear about the bad result. I thought your statement was A1 and just wish people would read and use their heads. Everything you wrote was entirely sensible.

Does Gamine's drug situation have an impact on the Acorn? Other than Baffert magic in NY, she looks like a false favorite to me at 1-1 ML.

was just looking at some old PPs and it is truly remarkable how differently horses used to be campaigned, the following is all Whirlaway --
1) ran 16 times as a 2yo -- the first 14 were all sprints, only the last two were routes in November -- both at Pimlico -- yes Pimlico used to have a November meet.
2) after 5 sprint prep races in February, March, and early April (no stakes -- all allow

One thing I would point out -- I would not only trace certain trainers for changes,.....but also some jurisdictions.......I think one aspect of horses for courses is that each "course" has different testing protocols...so you might have seen its numbers looking different from other places and if there are systematic changes in a jurisdiction its numbers overall may change. Additionally

I am not trying to be controversial or agitating in this comment. Am just trying to think broadly.
It seems to me that there is another guilty party in all this that is getting off the hook.
Shouldn't the racetracks or state racing commissions have caught this stuff before the feds needed to step in? Don't these indictments mean that some "official" or "office&q

In addition to swinging and missing on the race itself --I was alive in very healthy horizontals to 5 horses -- the best any of my 5 horses did was finish 4th.
As to the winner, it is hard to belief a horse they were willing to part with for $16k less than a year ago was able to hold together for a campaign like that for 12 months.

There is another horse in the race that is a much truer 0-2-X. Also a better price.
I think this is a great betting race. The highweight and heavy favorite is a 3yo running against older and faster horses. He is giving horses that have run better tops than him at least a point of weight. he is going to take a ton of extra stupid money because of his win rate (finished first in 7 of 8 races

Agree with all that this is a chewy complex race.
Looking at the figures, these horses are generally pretty close and figure to run close to each other. For the record, I am playing the pick 4 and hitting the ALL button on the race.
El Tormenta -- Not for me today. Could he be a part of the Super, yes, will i have him if he wins in the pick 4, yes. BUT, this horse just seems like he cann

Just want to make sure we are talking about the same race. According to the form, the horse that ran second won next out. The race was 8 weeks ago -- hard to imagine none of them would

Sorry if I am a dunderhead, but I just want to be sure I understand right -- it is 1.6 points at all distances.....not only 2 miles as the original poster asked, right? The thing that changes over distance is the conversion between points and lengths, right?
Apologies if this is to primitive.

When I read this article, I got angry because of what I perceive to be hypocrisy.
As I understand it, in France, you can buy horse meat in the supermarket. In the US if a trainer or an owner is caught selling a horse to slaughter, that owner or trainer can no longer get a license to race. In France, I assume it is normal commerce. Why is it worse if a horse dies training or racing versus at

If it is the rat poison that is also used as human blood thinners -- it is stuff like coumadin or warfarin. The way it kills rats (and peopl
