Roger - it's not bragging if you did it! Congrats again, great call. didn't handicap after a clumsy friday, but did play your free play...gracias! Hope to see you at the Pacific Classic...by shanahan - Ask the Experts
I was being wildly facetious. I dropped the 11 out of it, but had the 3,8 in the pik 5,4, and ultimately the DD. I know Soi Phet has won some $$, but really? Fitting end to a weekend where I handicapped my best, bet my worst...cancelled the PRKNS tri for $10 (total cost was $60), then forgot to bet the super which I wanted to. Actually, I did do one, for some reason the 6 was only punched fby shanahan - Ask the Experts
absolute ditto to this post! I scratch my head at the analysis product, but love the figs. really a must-have.by shanahan - Ask the Experts
It always seems that the posters who bitch the most were losers. Why would anyone take the time to send that post if they won $19K? I'd still be...well, somewhere. Figs were great, seminar mostly helpful. Crushed the early part before the slop. One of my 5 best days no doubt. I like Bill Mott a lot. A whole lot, and that is why I particularly love the TR stats. I might just shed a note on the "running downhill" - it was during the 1st segment of Byk's show last Wednesday (possibly Thursday, but pretty sure Wednesday) a guest said that the track is slightly uphill going into the first turn and downhill off the final turn. I ignored it thinking it was just an oddity, or perhaps they were all like that to some tiny degree...but who cared?by shanahan - Ask the Experts
AP - you make a good point, and you are correct. It was short-sighted I guess. Just hard to imagine JV as riding carelessly.by shanahan - Ask the Experts

Stewards couldn't get more difficult to understand, this from DRF: Velazquez, who was fined $1,500 by the stewards for allowing Vino Rosso to come in and bump with Enticed in the Wood, said his colt “has a ton of talent, he just needs to put it all together.†So...you get a pretty healthy fine (for a JKY), but no need to change the result? the problem with this thread is...no one in authority seems to care...or notice. The idea of a national "czar" is great, but not in our lifetime will it ever occur.by shanahan - Ask the Experts

Nice call, my friend. $500+ tri for a $1 3 horse box, not a bad exacta either. Best handicapping on that last race at SA I’ve seen around in a while. Now, about your OAK pick....by shanahan - Ask the Experts
Albarado f——d this whole thing up - but then again, that's what he's best at. I really doubt he cares where he finished. Audible looked gassed. Very professional (whatever that means) until the last 50 yards or so...JV schooling everyone again. Although Mississippi was always a good inclusion (referring to the breeding comment from another poster). Well, 3 biggies to go!by shanahan - Ask the Experts
I have him 5th on my list...yet it seems like the whole radio/tv network is in love with this one...tell me what I'm missing? It'll only cost me the pik5/4, knocked out of pi 6 in leg 2by shanahan - Ask the Experts
He has a helluva chance to win both the Oaks/Derby at GP Saturday. Can anyone shed some light on him? He has 19% wins with Saez (in the Derby), but he's 0/42 with LPX? That's who he's counting on?by shanahan - Ask the Experts
too funny! There's still room for few more in the tent, as alway As an aside, I'm quite touched by all the personal emails in the last month. Most comforting. Crawfish boil on Friday afternoon eve at the house, all welcome. Fun Day, come one, come all. drove in today from Dallas, bright and beautiful...but yes, Saturday says thunderstorms 100%. I'd wait though, it's likely to rain surrounding HS, but the mountains break it up occasionally. Friday/Sunday only 10% chance.by shanahan - Ask the Experts
Friday on Byk's show the DRF writer talked quite a bit how much Dale Romans was praising his FOY winner. After he SCR his fav of the 3, you had to include him, no? I expect Steve will expand on this Monday. BTW - great figs yesterday, late races particularly. Matching up TG and Welsch's report is really a must during derby preps. Met Chad and his wife in the Del Mar Hilton Breeders Cup wkend, and quite frankly - at 4:30am (he was headed to work, I was getting ice, go figure)- he responded to my "good luck" with a smile, a stop to look me in the eye, and wish me luck as well. Seemed like a pretty good dude to me. I wish him well. Why the question? Did I miss something?by shanahan - Ask the Experts

No doubt Noble is several pts faster. But is the distance breeding there? 1/16th further may not be a big deal, but I think this pushes it. Gotta go with the Tapit, and at the expected odds, putting the 10 underneath in tris/ex. Seems like a big hurdle, even for Pletcher, in just 3rd start. In race 8, any thoughts on the ARG horse for Mott/JV? One another note, Lookin' at Lee recorby shanahan - Ask the Experts
