I am also very interested in Extravagant Kid in this race. He has a very capable trainer and still seems to bring his "A" game at age 7, as he has a back number this year which is as fast as the M/L favorites. Also a few observations- he has somehow managed to draw the rail post in his previous three starts at Keeneland. In his last race, he was covered up in a tight pocket inside until the top of the stretch. I have watched this replay several times and noted that Gaffalione found open air at the 3/16th pole but was only hands and heels until the last 100 yards of the race when he started to seriously urge the horse - therefore, this race appeared to be a prep. He will have to work out a trip from the wide post - but he offers value at double digit odds.
