CLAIRIERE was not a horse I was considering until I watched her toy with MAX PLAYER in their last two works in company. I will have her on all my tickets now.

This is going to sound like I'm defending Bob and I'm not but can somebody show me where Bob blamed this Derby positive on the peeing groom?
Everyone is running with this narrative however I'm pretty sure he told Dan Patrick that he once had a positive because a groom pee'd in some hay and the horse ate it. I don't see any reputable news source reporting that Bob said

CD just announced they won't take Baffert entries.

Holy Crap. That press conference was bananas. Baffert was defiant and on the verge of tears a few times.

Maybe I was a bit dramatic regarding favoritism but CONCERT TOUR will take a TON of money. I do stand by comment that the barn and owners hold him in much higher regard than RESTORING HOPE who blocked for JUSTIFY. Interesting that both are owned by Gary West.
Baffert has said, he was surprised by the off effort by CONCERT TOUR as the odds on favorite in the Arkansas Derby and was scratching

I think CONCERT TOUR is a much higher regarded horse than RESTORING HOPE who blocked for Justify. I could even see him ending up the chalk.

I thought he might be talking about ROMBAUER. Paired 2yo top off bench, moved forward second off layoff, sitting on another move forward in Derby? I believe that is what Commanding Curve did?

I thought this horse was visually impressive in replay of last. They walked the half mile and PUBLIC SECTOR was closing fast and making up ground. He gets a normal pace and he could roll.

She is definitely slow on paper but I think everyone can agree that she has jogged so far in her 3 efforts. Many are saying don't use her but I can't past the stuff that you don't see on paper;
1) Baffert callers her special, Espinoza says one of best he has ridden
2) Watch her last few works, two back she toyed with G1 Stakes placed, $1mil colt SPEILBERG and the work before

FIRENZE FIRE Looks like an absolute standout to me. Put a line through his off track figs and look what you have left.

Somebody took down the pool, appx $173k with a $30k ticket. Hmmmmm, not unheard of.
The ticket though was played for $8 instead of the $2 minimum. WTF?

Re: The Schuylerville
Prior to the CD debut by HOPEFUL PRINCESS, her trainer at the time John Hancock was quoted as saying she was the best 2yo he had ever trained. Gutty win followed by private sale and transfer to new barn.
I didn't think the Casse chalk looked that good on paper myself but after reading some of Mark's comments, I think she might be the goods. She was bet down

This Baffert colt who debuted with a zero ran another big on in a two turn allowance yesterday. He went a full second faster than CECE who romped in a G1 for older fillies and mares. Beyer came back 106 it looks like. This one was just jogging mid-stretch.

With all due respect, Baffet horses not firing on a BC per JB's point is one thing. Taking the position, that Smith opted off the Baffert's because he feels he can't win on them or has better chances on other could not be more wrong. Mike Smith was essentially fired by Bob. There is no lack of articles, from numerous publicaions with quotes from Baffert himself that support that.

Not Smith's choice to get off McKinzie. Baffert took away the mount and likely others.

All great points. I can't get over the jock sticking with this one instead of the undefeated, graded stakes winner for the trainer that makes him so much money annually.

I hope I'm not giving out too much paid info from Seminar but I have to ask about the excusion of a horse in the juvenile turf who will likely be one the favorites. I know you say if you don't include a horse, he is not a factor and based on previous figs, I see why you would take that position but this one is getting lasix and working lights out. Also, I think the jock staying with

You forgot the biggest thing IMO. Next year, winners of MSW at Spa and Del Mar that are offspring of Run Happy get a $100k bonus on top of purse money.

In R8 at Delmar, Baffert enters #2 MAGIC ON TAP to go two turns on dirt after rolling at odds on in debut going 6.5 last year and beating a talented Peter Miller runner.
In R3 at the Spa, Chad enters #1 AMERICANO GIRL who was supposed to route on grass but will still go on the main track.
Interesting how Bob debuted sprinting on dirt and Chad wanted to debut in the turf route.

A few Millions ago I got in an elevator with Barry Irwin. He is usually on hand for Million day. I didn't notice Valor having any horses in the big races today. A couple of years ago DiVito was hitting around 45% with firsters and it was a good size sample too. Have to think this one might be cranked up to give the Team Valor group at AP some excitement today.

Maybe but what is the worst she runs a 3? Does lasix move Aiden's horse up that much?
