Delhomme - 11 years ago
I like his numbers from last year. I like his future odds of 50-1. But with the Rebel on March 16 pegged as his first start of the year, can they squeeze another start in him before the Derby?by jerry - Ask the Experts

Re: I'm confused. Why would anyone want to pay money run this business? - 12 years ago
I don't know. But if they have a model for a horse racing industry that can successfully operate in an environment with other forms of competitive gambling maybe we could learn something from them.by jerry - Ask the Experts

What's the condition of the sport in GB and France? They have competitive forms of gambling. Do they rely on subsidies? What are they doing right?by jerry - Ask the Experts

NYRA screwed itself. If they were a well managed organization they'd still be in business.by jerry - Ask the Experts

Re: Willy Beamin - 12 years ago
You're right. The real mystery isn't the Kings Bishop. It's the jump up from running 7s to running 2s (or better).by jerry - Ask the Experts

It's called dermorphin and they have a test for it. A few horses in Louisiana and Texas have tested positive.by jerry - Ask the Experts

Re: Saturday Seminar - 12 years ago
Extremely washed out before the race. The jock was literally sweeping sweat off her with is whip as they were loading. Something was wrong with her. Maybe the water. A courageous try considering she wasn't right today.by jerry - Ask the Experts

Re: Liason - 12 years ago
I'm not criticizing anyone for taking 11-1. I wish I had. But, considering there were 5 others in the race who had already run faster, and his best was 2 or 3 points slower than those, and he was running on 2 days rest after winning a state bred stake at 1 1/8 mile, and he had already improved 10 points from his 2 year old top and 5 points since late March when he was claimed for 25K, yes, Iby jerry - Ask the Experts
Re: Liason - 12 years ago
Am I mistaken or didn't he run a 4 in the West Point? Is that not considered an effort?by jerry - Ask the Experts
