Anyone else in Illinois get shut down on Twin-spires due to some new law? They tell me as an Illinois resident, they can no longer take my Internet wagers. Anyone know the details or scoop on this, besides track fighting & Illinois drowning in debt?

"The race is restricted to 14-year-olds"! WOW, love that race conditions. I have never seen that before, thanks for sharing.

OK, so I swung for the fences @ the Derby & also bet the Super High Five, which I never do. No one hit it, no payout for 4 of 5 & has a carry over of $276K. So what race does that monies carry over to? The next feature race @ CD the next racing day? Anyone know?

Through the 80s & 90s I followed the Dosage path & still feel some loyalty to that thinking. IMO, you can't count Mine That Bird as a true Dosage buster, the fact is he was the ONLY horse to grab the racetrack on that rainy day. It was like whiching a man among boys down the stretch. Like watching a 4 wheel drive truck vs a corvette slip & slide all over the road on the first

I used to work the Mutuel Windows in college & I attended the Breeder's Cup many times, that is more of a disaster @ the windows. Hour long lines & then tellers taking a break 4 minutes prior to post, after waiting in line 45 minutes! Are you kidding me? So being a former Mutuel Teller, I made her continue to work & told her to take her break only during the running of any rac

Not to be smart, but how can you have a favorite horse after just one race? You must have a ton of favorite horses! I hope you are on to something on an inside track to the KY Derby with huge odds in vegas pools. I will keep a watch out & want all horseplayers to crush any race.

Maybe I spend too much time referring to the Sire Profile. I like GS @ the odds, but the high sire profile tends to push me away, as I think he is outrunning his bloodlines. Am I totally off base & overthinking this angle? Thoughts please.

I thought all racehorses have a tatoo number on their upper lip for identification? What year did that identifcation program start?

I don't see much risk with #4 Ronin Dax @ 20-1 versus the top three favorites? Especially if Pluck simply doesn't like firm turf.

Does Silver Medallion pass on the KY derby if he wins the SA derby for the Preakness bonus cash? What is the word on the street? This affects KY Future pool wagers & currently @ a huge value, but crazy if he will never get in the stating gate as a SA Derby winner.
Thoughts?

As I recall, these perfect matches typically don't quite live up to all the hype and great expectations on the racetrack.

If we all learn something & win a race, that is Win/Win? Isn't that the objective of the FREE ROTW?

Lewis said Clubhouse Ride, a son of Candy Ride, has a hairline fracture of his right ankle that will require 45 days off.
"It's miniscule and he will recover," Lewis said. "That's the good news. The disappointment is I believe he is a true mile-and-a-quarter horse."

Correct, as the same concept as every person using the Daily Racing Form. They all pick the same horse?

Jerry, Are we seeing horses reacting badly to the hard surface @ SA? Thinking that a trend of avoiding any horses who ran on that new dirt surface is accurate?
Thoughts.

Often the Alan Radio picks are scratched. Are owners/trainers listening & looking for longer odds later? Or is this just a recent trend?

Allen,
What was the winners number for the race? Thanks for explaining this. Are there any more tutorials than on the website? I follow the ROW, but something more published somewhere on analysis?

I wish that exchange happened prior to the race, I had the same thought as Jim on this. Great call on the ROTW.

Granted, I am still learning the TG process, but been handicapping for over 25 years. Looks like NH bounced @ CD regardless of the rail issue. Seems like a huge jump from the synthetics as well, so can we really expect a negative number again? Still learning, but this is my initial view. HELP me understand.
Thanks.

Photo looks like a classic head bob finish & you unfortunately got the up instead of the down bod at the wire. Those are tough to swallow. Sorry, but great handicapping anyhow.
