Well Caca I must be hungover. I got the S.A. Derby wrong also. Asleep at the wheel and not much interested in Santa Anita I hadn't realized the Winner Taiba is a Baffert R

My apology, for my misinformation Mo was called a Bet Against by TG seminar. Which made sense to me then and the Crowd liked him for who knows what reason the trainer I guess?
Now he get a new top I assume and becomes a bounce candidate? His Wood race impressed me.

I feel like I've got a hangover and I didn't have a single drink in the last 24+ hours. Oh, I don't drink anymore.
I'm greeted by twenty-something women (all made up and wardrobed) on ESPN analyzing the Masters? the last bastion of Chauvenism!
Three major KY Derby prep races yesterday? What, if anything did we learn?
In the Wood, the crowd betting favorite was the 2nd

Generally, I bet against two front runners going around on the lead together to produce an exacta. Yeh, It happens from time to time and when it does I tear up my tickets.
I'm getting a picture of Early Voting & Morello running off from the rest. There would seem to be some other early speed but I wonder if they can hang with the top two?

Several disappointments, I remember Outwork best. Verrazano, I remember he got a lot of steam before a tough derby trip. Bellamy Road?
I got spoiled by the Peace Rules, Funny Cide, Empire Maker series.

I'm thinking I'll chance a small pool bet on Morello before the Saturday Race and close of betting.
Some Trivia - Tacitus (3rd place finish in 2019) was the best Ky Derby result of a Wood graduate since Funny Cide.

My preliminary take is remembering this classic prep was downgraded to a Grade 2 recently. Initially, I thought the downgrade was a function of the race winners under-performing in the classics. Maybe. I've long thought that wintering in N.Y. was no advantage for triple crown preparation.
So outside of the nine dots for a minute. South Florida trainer Joseph Saffie Jr. ships two arguably

My thinking here was terrible. I apologize. I overlooked the top two finishers who figured very capable. It is No solace that most everybody overlooked them also.

Giovanni Franco seems to have gotten comfortable here. He had at least one winner earlier today. He's riding the #7 Bellamy's Roan. M/l 3/1 and now 8/1. Next out maiden winners are often questionable plus he doesn't look quick enough to take the lead he wants.
Trainer Broberg has been especially tough this year and his #4 I'm a Bling Cat s/b in the middle of it from the get

I haven't looked yet but I will and share my thoughts. I already expect something surprising in an unnecessary race. Often they end with the feature.

I don't have the sheets for Oaklawn so I sure am curious if the Cyberknive's line could be considered a recovery pattern? I see he's currently @ 6/1 so not under the radar.

What's the story with #1 Strike Hard? Is this a Lasix issue? I see he was scratched at Tampa in last. Currently @ 37/1 sure seems like an overlay on a horse that doesn't look like a Soup Can.

Evidently, I misunderstood something because BRIS has the same 48% winners in graded stakes on the Oaklawn pps also. Same 40 race sample.

per BRIS if I understand correctly from a sample of 40 races all three-year-olds stakes & Handicap races @GP $100k+ the betting favorite wins 48% of the time.
So one doesn't need much of a price to have a positive potential.
Whichever of the top four(4) contenders ends up the favorite it's likely the crowd will get it right.
Based on that I will look for value underneath a

If the former Baffert trainee tests positive for a PED in an upcoming test (say 30 days)? Which trainer(s) get's the penalty?

Galt trained by a NY guy named Mott appears to have a line that will produce a new top IMO.
8/1 m/l as part of exacta or tri won't be terrible. Plus Junior was able to ride him to the finish line twice without falling off.
But, Galt's speed may ruin the race for the favorite if they can't rate some>>
Edit - Bad start, bad ride, bad idea, should have kept my mouth shu

Yessir, I did mean the 10th race, not the 11th as I referenced.
I am not attuned to the pharmacology of the backside, but the point you make about a Lasix substitute makes sense to me. Further, I suppose testing will always be playing catch-up.

I got mixed up on the horses name's but, I think Plainsman has to pass too many horses to win.
I'm on Rated R Superstar hope his price holds.

I understand CB win a high % on turf including maidens But some really aren't very good even with breeding that suggests they s/b. Watasha looks OK but that first race was so out of form.
So agaist the #1 and CB in this one
I'll take the Pletchers + in a 2-4-6 ebx

Could not help but notice Peter Brant down in citrus country @ GP Sat. 3/5.
His white blazer and leading his horses around in the winner's circle said it all.
Caused me to ponder who is more dependable CB or BB. Thank goodness they rarely go head to head.
