Re: whynot to play multi races....ouch - 18 years ago
While it is frustrating when you don't hit it, when you do, the payoffs are huge when the favorites are not on the ticket.by milwmike - Ask the Experts

Re: Bernardini's Jim Dandy Figure - 18 years ago
I was on track that day. The track was not sealed for Hesanoldsalt's race - the rain began literally as the race started. Bernardini was awesome - appearance and performance.by milwmike - Ask the Experts
Re: Arlington Million - 18 years ago
Agree on Bob Chinn's, only drawback is usually packed and no reservations. Would also recommend Palm Court in Arlington Heights (intersection of Palatine and Arlington Heights), less than 10 minutes from track.by milwmike - Ask the Experts

Re: del mar / saratoga - 19 years ago
Saratoga's opening day is 7/26/06. While I don't believe the stakes schedule has been approved yet, you can pretty much count on this year's schedule to be repeated next year. This year, they swapped the opening Saturday feature moving the Jim Dandy to the first Saturday and moving the Test to the second Saturday.by milwmike - Ask the Experts

Re: leroidesNIMAUX - 19 years ago
I agree with CH - lines were managable, but the inexperience of the tellers made the wait long. You also had alot of novices using the machines so the lines there seemed to take forever. I did most of my betting via phone with Brisbet.by milwmike - Ask the Experts
Re: BC Sprint and a Question - 19 years ago
I think you can add Precisionist and Smile to the list of quality milers that have won this race. These milers won this race in the 80's. Agree with sentiment that 6f specialists win this race. In addition to his last, his DeFrancis race last year puts him right there and he will be double digits.by milwmike - Ask the Experts
Re: GP today - 19 years ago
Navesink River was the lone speed in the race, who waltzed through easy fractions. With a 1w1w trip instead of 2w2w in lone turf outing as well as potential improvement in first start at 4, I thought he was a must use. Huge exacta made up for Marwood's tough beat on Saturday.by milwmike - Ask the Experts
Re: Today's Plays/Races and Summer End - 20 years ago
jimbo 66 A couple of weeks ago, a thread talked about spending at least an equal amount of time to structuring your bets as you do handicapping. Simply giving equal weight to every play on the analysis report is misleading. This year at Saratoga, I attended the races opening week (6 days) and lost a minor amount (-.05 or so ROI). The remainder of the meet I primarily played weekends and in chby milwmike - Ask the Experts

TGJB - AP for 7/24 - 20 years ago
Could you please double-check the last race figure for Ballingarry in the 7th and Shaconage in the 9th. They seem very out of character, especially Ballingarry in a winning performance. Thanks.by milwmike - Ask the Experts
Re: Saturday Action - 20 years ago
I'll add my two cents. In the 5th, I like the 2 - lifetime best first time turf which is competitive with everybody except the 9's last monster race. Tossing last when had ton of trouble. In the 6th, serious concerns with the outside post. Will take a shot with 4 - paired 3's before Lexington fiasco. Two months off, steady works and should get a good trip. Concur with 8th and 9tby milwmike - Ask the Experts

Re: selectivity - 21 years ago
Just to add a thought to Mall's comment, don't forget about multi-race wagers with those 8 and 10-1 shots. It may not work for you if you are only betting 3-4 races per day, but I like to concentrate on pick 3's where I have a strong conviction on at least 1 leg with this type of shot. The return over a simple parlay is typically in the vicinity of 50%; significantly greater if yby milwmike - Ask the Experts
