It's been a while since Ive posted, partly because I just am too damn busy lately and partly because I've lost some interest in racing vs other things to do in life. I just cant stand people that talk tough and hide behind a screen name. Many of the board members know me and have met me. I too am a person of strong beliefs and or convictions. I am entitled to mine, yhou are to yours how

The connections are very positive about works and taking to CD. Think another forward move is coming today. They are concerned about #10,#14 and especially #2. I will speak to him tomorrow and see if anything has changed..

Why would a top trainer like Baffert not work or train at CD year in and year out for BC or Derby?
Damn smart phones are so smart they change words for you.....thanks for the edit feature....

I've been reading this string and getting dizzy.....
Speed Figure is based on the Speed of the race + all the other factors stated on the TG How to read the figs.....
And the Shoe thing is part of Handicapping.....so what are we talking about??
Give it a rest already...

when they first went to poly, nothing won on the front end...everyone was complaining.....and now we get this string. I have been a fan of this place ever since I first stepped on the grounds. They know how to treat their patrons well too, also voted the best simulcast facility in the country as well.
Keeneland is a special place. Enjoy it while you can!

Tom Durkin could possibly get back to being better if he took care of his health more...but then who am I to tell him how to live his life.
He enjoys the wine and Pasta in Tuscany a little bit too much perhaps.....I've stood next to Tom leaving the Spa many a time in recent years and Tom makes me look thin lol ...his girth grows with every passing year.... So with that being said, if he

Well from the Track was going to see the ELton John concert. Grabbed a quick bite to eat downtown so was about 2 miles from the SPAC to see the show. It took over an hour and half to go the mile and a half. The Police were their usual incompetent selves. Then to top the friggen disaster off, (knowing concert already began) they diverted the cars to some lot about 3 miles away in the park we had t

Excellent post and done with style....Love being at this place no matter the conditions...(yesterday (Sunday) was a trip)....Nothing like being live at the SPA. Unfortunately living in NC has it great points but draw backs...like no parimutuel wagering, distance to nearest track (colonial of all things) is 300 miles away.
was with the wife the past few days in the tent, so not much

Not so sure about that..think the 11 "may" have won it if his dumb jockey doesn't go too fast too soon in the turn..they would have had hard time running that one down

Right now KEE is in the plans opening weekend and the last two weekends of their meet as of right now. If I could get there more, I will.
There's a lot of catching up to do. Been playing a lot of golf this year, and the work is paying off...in more ways than one... just play better when it counts and its for money...I focus more...
Not doing the Handicapping tour circuit much any more.

Been playing lots of golf and very little ponies here lately. Events of the past few years have soured me towards racing, so hoping comin

If you use history as a guide, over the past 10-20 years (i am not exactly sure of the timing of this) but the old process of picking a pill to pick your post, the best horses tried to avoid the rail so the randomness of the best horse having the rail is somewhat skewed. If you recall at all, prior to the aux gate Post #1 was best post.
So with that being said, If AAA is best horse if court

he's been known to do that for lesser events...

Statisticians would tell you this is purely random and coincidental set of circumstances, as each derby is independent of one another and random events, with no derby dependent upon the prior one.
But it's fun handicapping

All tracks should use Trackus technology and get rid of bogus data. use technology that is available. Trakus not only get position and times right, but also calculates ground covered in a race. Am surprised to only see it at WO, KEE, and DMR. Would clearly help in the ground loss calculations.
Been interesting reading the opinions and conjecture that leads up to the Derby.
Looking forward t
