Re: Belmont Sires - 1 year ago
Hey Richeebee, regarding your so-called "dead link" I think the restored blog includes a technical bug whereas we can't add a link to a post. Nicely Nicely may have an opinion about my hunch. Secondly, I have already rushed to judgment on Violence and the endurance or long-distance capability of his get. Barring a stamina-loaded mare I will toss his offspring from any race longeby Tavasco - Ask the Experts

In fact, I was referring to the three filly stakes Fairmont referred to. My bad though, it is not generally referred to as the filly triple crown. Which is a term instead used for the 1000 Guineas, Epsom Oaks & St. Leger. Who knew? Meanwhile, only Davona Dale won the Ky. Oaks, Blackeyed Sudan, and Acorn. 1979 fwiw. For bettors, I suppose the filly in the Preakness makes both races moreby Tavasco - Ask the Experts

Just An Opinion (Everyone's got one) - 2 years ago
I thought D. Wayne Lukas looked like a million dollars @ CD last Saturday. Probably Friday too but I don't remember Friday's appearance. A beautiful sports jacket (I'm thinking leather maybe suede) and a nice wide-brimmed Cowboy Hat. Add a starched long sleeve shirt and an attractive necktie. I swear he looked great. Today I read he was sending his filly Secret Oath To The Preakby Tavasco - Ask the Experts
Historical Derby Comparisons - 2 years ago
I looked back at a few previous running to find some comparables. The obvious ones are when Mine That Bird won and the one in the rain when another pacesetter went kamikazi. But first, In some ways the 2016 edition in which Nyquist beat Exaggerator, GunRunner, and Mohayman. Both versions had a rabbit and went fast. For Hard Headed Subjective Handicappers - 2 years ago
While it can be fun to choose a bet intuitively and win we know in the long term it is economic folly. Playing objectively is a grind more or less but more winners and fewer losers lets us continue in the game. My Derby Handicapping excluded the two Baffert Horses for subjective reasons. I had decided Baffert is a bad guy! Consequently, I'm against him and his horses. Then I got a cby Tavasco - Ask the Experts

I imagine several distinct groups barring too much traffic or trouble in the first turn. Group One - Pacesetters 3 Epicenter, 5 Smile Happy, 6 Messier, 7 Crown Pride, with 16. He sure is good with young horses. His generally run like an adult vs children. !st round draft choices for example Sol Del Sur in the 2nd race and Dominican Pioneer in the 5th @ Kee today. Based on the latter race I put the runner-up Spangster trained by Dallas Stewart on my horses to watch list. That was a very professional effort. With Ward, it seems we need to catch them first out. After The Wood Memorial - 2 years ago
For years I've downplayed the graduates of the Wood Memorial moving forward. I learned to do that after betting on some of the high-profile points winners. That strategy left me disappointed year after year. Nothing but steam. This year I'm interested in three (3) of this crops luminarys but not the winner. 1) First I like Early Voting as much as he might disrupt the Kentucky Derbby Tavasco - Ask the Experts

Is Taiba In The KY Derby Good For Horse Racing - 2 years ago
While binge-watching "The Fall" on Prime Video also via Peacock I got to wondering in a particularly confusing segment. What if someone, even Beychock et al, filed suit to prohibit the Sham of Taiba from being trained and consequently subject to rules violations by Bob Baffert from running in the Kentucky Derby. Point #1 - Power Crazies CDI and Bob Baffert (Trainer) are feuding. Tby Tavasco - Ask the Experts
