And you can add to that list the immortal Rick's Natural Star, who went from $3500 claimers in New Mexico to the BC Turf.

According to Godolphin's own web site -
894 runs worldwide this year
150 wins - 17%
39 stakes wins
3 G1 wins
20% overall win rate since 1992
I didn't see any breakdown by country or by trainer

You're assuming the CHRB will apply the rules to Baffert the same way they do to everyone else. I wanna see it happen first.

Can't wait to see Bryson's sheet. How is he after a layoff?

I see what you're saying here, but when I look at this situation, I'm reminded of Al Capone. Everyone knew all the stuff he did, but they could only get him on tax evasion. They're nailing Baffert on something far less worse than what he's done in the past. Like Mor Spirit in the Met Mile and a bunch of other horses in NY. Plus I still recall somebody posting in this forum

Does TG still sell sheets for Sunland Park? I'm hoping to go down there Sunday.

I started on TG when they first came to LA in March the year Winning Colors won the Derby (1988?). One day's races were $27, I believe. Back then I had to find Julian to buy paper versions in person. Back then a race card in SoCal was around 100 horses a day, almost twice as many horses a day as now. So any increases in the inflation rate should be offset by decreases in # of sheets per

Go back to Memorial Day weekend last year. 7 graded stake races, including 3 G1. A grand total of 38 horses ran in those races, including 2 races with 4 horses each. Not for me.

Yes, but any points earned under Baffert still won't count. I think.

They'd better name one quick, because all Derby qualifying points earned with Baffy as trainer are not being counted.

In response to Baffert's lawsuit against NYRA, the Jockey Club has filed a request to provide additional info to support NYRA. Per their legal request, "The Jockey Club possesses a unique perspective on issues involved in this litigation and is in a position to supply information that should be helpful to the court and its decision-making."
I vaguely recall a few years ago that

We'll never know this, but it begs to ask the question - would they suspend Baffert if MS had won the Preakness and would be going for the Triple Crown?

Per the Horse Racing Nation website, someone bet $500k for him at Churchill today. Mac has wired $4 mill to Churchill, so more to come tomorrow.

Is Volponi's BC Classic in the TG HOF? I believe he was 43-1. That would be my top nomination.

Some thoughts:
1) I wonder if the owners of the Triple Crown runner-ups are considering lawsuits to get purse redistributions
2) The BC has a rule banning trainers from the BC who have some sort of major drug violation. They used this on Ron Ellis a couple of years ago. I wonder if they'll ban Baffert from this year's BC over this.
3) I find it interesting that I originally f

Last year, my 1st ever trip to Saratoga, I stayed at a Motel 6 in Schenectedy and drove up, about a 1-hour drive. Saved a ton of money. Added bonus - before Saratoga, I drove about the same distance west to Cooperstown. Altogether I paid $440 for 6 nights at the Motel 6.

Didn't cost any horse a better placing? What were you watching? The 2 horses between War Of Will and Country House both stumbled badly and almost fell and immediately dropped out of being on the lead to being well back in a very short time. MaxSec was placed, not behind War Of Will, but 17th, behind Toddy, the worst finisher of the 3 horses he fouled.

That was the SoCal stewards. Agree with you there. But earlier that year, the Churchill stewards DQed the same Bayern from 1st in the Derby Trial, a decision that kept Bayern from qualifying for the Derby. So, based on past history, it wouldn't have mattered who trained MaxSec.
When you take out 3 horses, almost drop 2 of them, and completely cost them position, it's an easy call.

All I know is, after what I saw with Jaywalk and Uncle Benny, I'm including Firenze Fire in my bets Sat. And I'm avoiding the Turf Sprint like the plague.
