Yes, apparently it's a very rare racing surface which is only gets "unsafe" during the week...I'm sure it's fine today.
Morons at CDI - what an insulting message to send. "it'll be fine till Wednesday"

Jerry, sorry - I don't quite follow what you mean by "What’s more interesting is, look at the two most similar ones, and what they did in the Preakness."
Who are you referring to?

loved your last line.
BTW - Ty is now 0/11 at FGDS.
See you next week.

Two things to keep in mind:
1. Ty Gaf has never won a race at FGDS (0/9). TAPs guy today.
2. Dallas Stewart.
That is all.

From time to time this board will drift to baseball tales so I thought Id share bits of a radio show in Dallas I listen to in the mornings - topic? Street names, specifically streets /highways named after athletes, of which there are 3700+ in the USA.
# 1? Secretariat by a very very wide margin - over 30% of the total.
# 2? Earnhatdt - OK, maybe no surprise (there may be 100 in AL/GA alone

Thanks for that, I appreciate it. God, The FGDS must be a ghost town these days. Neither TG nor Rags does it - even on a big day.
I'm playing it - and noticing that several notable big name jocks are sitting on the schneid at FGDS.

Don't see any archives, but handicapping is posted. Could not hear anything last few times I tried. Seems like a good guy, and lord knows we need sport PR. Anyone knwo what's going on?

My friend, I only comment on one of your "truths":
Serling is without a doubt the biggest ass and terrible handicapper on TV (outside of TVG full staff). And he thinks he is something special. I'll share a few stories next time I see you.
First time I met him I just said "hello" and referenced a mutual friend, who he quickly pointed out that his name I mispronou

Yep, but the thing that is so annoying to me is to hear the shills from SA (Mike Willman in particular) on the radio talking like this is the Nirvana of horse racing. It's not enough that he talks over his guests, but how can he in good conscience tell us every week "it's a great card" with this crap. 40 million people in SoCal, and no none has horses?
Yes, I realize his jo

Jerry, yes - it's any dirt race at GP. But to be specific as I peruse my orders from the weekend, race 2 is dirt, PP 1 is from a Sire named Uncaptured. TGI Synth 16. No dirt #. It's been like this since meet started. One thing I'll reference is that there have been differences occasionally/rarely between the sheets & thoro Quick regarding some data.
IRE - Uncaptured

For dirt races, the sire data is showing TGI for syn, not dirt - and has for a while. May I ask why? Is this an oversight? Computer issue?

should have ignored...win was $3400....I expect more proof of work, as the horse noted won, not the 4/5.

I miss those days. I have all the Dean Martin Roasts on tape. I'm sure he'd be sued, in jail, and wild protests all over if htey aired. They should. Pe

Well, count me in on those who wagered more than they ever had previously BC weekend. The result?
All of my P5 horses finished 1st on Friday. The payout? $0
Horse racing tends to make us treat ourselves worse than we would treat others.

Seminar and Analysis differ on Race 11. But DMTC site does not have DS scratched. Anyone know?

Frankly, I still don't understand the analysis/radio guys infatuation with the 4 there. I had the 12 4.2 pts better. I used the 4 as well, tossing the TAPs, excluding the recent maiden, and the 9 who Mike Smith got off to ride 12. The surprise for me in the race was that the Desormeaux bros weren't there.

My friend, you put it very well. I'm in your camp. I go to the races for the social aspect, and if I make some $$, great. Like many of us, it's about the atmosphere of the big day, or the seasonal events. Saratoga isn't as much about the racing as it is a step back in time, and spending time in the backyard with friends - new and old.
I remember our first tent infield party at

That's an easy one - Lone Star. For the same reasons. There are more TX license plate in the lot at Oaklawn in one stakes carded weekend than at Lone Star the whole meet (slight exaggeration).

Jerry, looking forward to it. Especially if you are addressing Lasix. The Stakes racing has me puzzled - mostly becasue I forget to check races run with out it. I anticipate your voice will be heard around the industry - and out.
PDub - you don't need Sirius radion to hear it - it's on the internet. Seach "at the races with Steve Byk"
