I watched all his workouts, and he couldn't be doing any better. He's set for a top effort for sure. The rail is a huge issue for me though, rain or shine, and I've not determined how strong the Louisiana prep races are, but I'm thinking they may be better than usual this year. The inexperienced jockey doesn't excite me, but the price is right enough to allow for the down

Just checking the forecast:100% chance of rain Saturday. How bad does that stink for Omaha's team??? This is one of those races that you may want to handicap as late as possible adjusting for conditions. Anyone have any thoughts on the grass races? They usually stay on the turf there, right?

You should never use terms like that; you almost sound like the talking hand puppets on TVG! The only way it's a life changing score or once in a lifetime score or whatever jargon you prefer is if you promise never again to set foot inside the gates of hell (I mean a racetrack), deposit your cell phone and computer into an electronic waste recycling dump, buy a share or two of Berkshire Hath

they hit it?! i was doing a very non-racing thing like working all day yesterday.
well, i'm right even though i'm wrong. i'm fairly certain no one on this board is going to cash 383k on derby day-yes, i'm mr positive these days for sure. i've gotten a little sour shall we say on this game we all love. oh well onward and upward, just ignore me

Most of these three year olds never even make it to four. The triple crown races destroy them. I'm fairly certain Smith chose what he believes is the best horse. And I also think he and Baffert had some kind of split, the result being a smiling Mike beating Baffert in virtually every big race this year. I don't think the derby will be any different. I have no dog in this fight though. I&

My biggest concern is just that Mandella trains the horse, and triple crown races are not his m.o. Similar to Mott, i consider Mandella a hay and oats trainer, far from the modern super trainers; these old school guys tend to have horses bounce more, esp. Mott. Maybe the horse is a freak and he can pull it off. Smith choosing him certainly makes a huge difference and should not be taken lightly.

I heard some racing talking head saying he might have the first three favorites in the derby which has never been done before. Even so, I'm not sold on any of his runners, for different reasons. This year you might be able to get a price.

Yesterday someone (or different people?) was alive with 4 runners in the last leg of the pick 6 for well over 2 million. Perhaps they cashed for 100k anyway, but that's gotta be tough. Imagine you win 100k and feel like crap? That Rainbow Pick 6 is a heart breaker.

Matt C from TVG touted the horse a few minutes out--the odds dropped after that. Anytime TVG gives out a horse the odds fall.

A good start--maybe what???--30 years late!
I didn't read the article yet--will they actually have meaningful penalties against trainers who violate these policies or just the usual slap on the proverbial wrist?

Yeah, let me know about that. I wish we had horse racing included. I only use Sports betting to build a bankroll for horses anyway, so it makes sense.

Anyone have any thoughts on the best provider to go with? I'm with Fan Duel. Looking for something better. I'd appreciate any input. Webmaster, please delete if this post is not ok.

Yeah, you know, for a Mott horse to run a huge number and repeat it is almost impossible under any circumstances, esp. with a three-year-old second-time starter coming off a sloppy track blitz--thinking now, looking back, the maiden race had little behind him--there was a Brown runner who finished second and ran just OK today. All your observations are good. I'll say, I'm not sure what

That's the glory of horse racing; two people watch the same race, or interview for that matter (or read the same sheet), and come away with completely different views!

a few possibilities to structure the ticket; as always in a sequence like this, you need to structure your ticket to have any shot
race 7 weak heat--not sure i trust the fav, but he has the speed vs. a ploddy bunch
4-2-15 kind of obvious--do we spread and try to get a $$$???
race 8-seems formful enough--use the obvious runners??? 2-5-6-7-9
race 9 motion's horse looks tough-lost to

Last week's SA jackpot disappointed due to slop and short fields (I spent 840 to make around 500 profit after the mud settled) which won't be the case today at GP. 7-10 million is within the realm of possibility. If you all are game, post one or two of your horses that make the pick 6. I've got to do some work on the races, which means off to staples first for GIANT copies of the p

Anyone familiar with this trainer?
Has a horse today race 6 at AQU. Has the sheet pattern of a super-trainer type.
Where did he come from?
