You had to see the writing on the wall many months ago. Steve Christ did and he wrote an article predicting this would happen. The election of a new non-incumbent party governor sealed the deal for the let's start-all-over-again situation. I'll go out on a limb here and predict that at the end of the day NYRA or a very close facsimile wins the war.

One horse not mentioned but I would like to see included is Minefield.
Thanks for asking Alan.

Ill-Bred. Shh, Keep it under your hat. You'll spoil the odds. I can't wait to see DJs' TG sheet. Even before seing David Juniors TG sheet he's a must use for me on top and underneath all I do in the classic. Shiping Dylan Thomas here for a prep strikes me as an unorthodox move and a bit of a stab to see just what they have. O'Brien's comments quoted in the Bloodho

I'll be suprised if the quick return will win here. Sabre Baby is slower than several others and is highweight. Dutrows' win % does not go up in the under 11 days back catagory although his ITM % does, and the ROI actually goes down from his overall ROI. Sabre Baby is going to be one of the 3 out of 4 times a Dutrow quick back runner does not win, the horse is just too slow with no indi

Any chance of having a number done (and posted) by Wed AM for Sabre Baby who ran on Friday at the Spa and is entered back in the 3rd race at the Spa on Wed.? He's trained by Dutrow so chances are good he'll run back on Wed.
Thank you in advance for the number and thanks to Bill, Julian, Alan and Jerry for the seminars over the last 2 weekends. And a thank you to Steve our host and c

Re: ny - 17 years ago
I don't mind the NY bred and claiming races. I do mind the raise in takeout to fund a rewards program for "big" bettors. Give me my 14% takeout back. Barry Schwartz worked hard to lower the takeout and it didn't last more than 3 years.

There was a Team Valor horse, Dr. Greenfield 4 or 5 years ago in the Belmont who wouldn't load in the gate, I think it took a good 10 minutes to get him in and then the horse hit his leg while in the gate, finished last, and never raced again. I would count that one too in any study.

Neither. Showing Up has earned the opportunity to race and I suspect on TG figs (I will know tomorrow am) has run just as fast as several of the "contenders" and faster than quite a few others. After all each horse gets only one shot at the derby.

Is Discreet Cats' performance now tarnished? Both southern hemisphere 4yo's were legit contenders going into the race with Simpatico the horse to beat-only one point slower than Discreet Cat's 1x out 2yo fig., and 2nd fastest, on TG figs. The undefeated Gold for Sale was only a couple of points slower. on TG figs. and 2nd fastest on timeform behind only Simpatico. Nevertheless Di

How is it that DRF has accurate beaten lengths in the running lines and TG does not?

And Gold for Sale won all 6 of his races by exactly the same margin of 1/2 length. Simpatico Bribon won his last 7 races by exactly the same margin of 6 lengths! This happens with the data on a fairly regular basis with euro and South American horses. I've brought this up in the past and TG has said the reason is "this is the data that came from Equibase".
Folks, it is poss

I'd rather you did not add 5 points. If its not broken why fix it? I like the negative numbers. I guess I'm just used to them. It's possible changing the scale just may cause more confusion.
All the best. Phil

Sometimes all it takes on days like this is one. Couldn't have come up with this one without the TG sheets. I did not buy Jerry's seminar this year just the pre-entry sheets. I can't wait to check the red board room to read what Jerry's comments were for Pleasant Home.

I just want to publicly thank the folks a TG for your exceptional customer service. I just received a second e-mail with sheet corrections for a few euro horses. This was in addition to the corrections for riskaverse and sand springs you sent last week. Your transparancy when discussing your figure methodology and your willingness to correct errors speaks for itself. Keep up the good work guys

If you want more to like about Original Spin, Take a look at the 2 yo. TG numbers for Original Spins' stakes winning full brother, Humor at Last. The numbers for her short two races career has me interested in her. Came out running a good fig 1x out. Just right in my book for a 2yo filly. Not slow and not ridiculusly fast as to hurt. Then she moves forward 3 3/4 points down to a number

And will the Pre-entry sheets include TG numbers for all of the euro races and horses or do I have to wait another week for final entry's to get euro tg figures.

DG, This is what I heard from a few different sources. It was only the inside/rail parts of both turf courses that was re-seeded about a week or so prior to the recent heavy rains. There will be no more than one turf race run per day, if the weather permits, til BC day and the rail will be out 18 feet to protect the re-seeded part of the course til BC day.

Looking good there in the winners' circle on Sunday Jerry. I'm enjoying the weekend seminars. Been there 3 times so far and each time I've learned something new. I love this game, after over 25 years-the last 4 as a TG customer has been the most enjoyable.

Jerry, I bought the sheets for Friday. I figured there was no number because the race was just this past Monday and a number was not yet available when the sheets were posted last night and now with some more time you had made the figure. I've made similar requests in the past and you had supplied the number. Just asking for what I paid for. I'll be at the track tomorrow but I won

Your right Jerry, Looking back now Giacomo's Thoro-Pattern jumps out, over 65% to pair up or run a new top. With just as much of a chance to run a new top as pair up. As for Closing Argument would not the Thoro-Pattern not apply due to the base top having been last Nov. and the 2 two month layoffs between the pair-up's of the new top?

Saddle:
To look at an example (although I'm sure others will finds reasons to not use this as a good eaxmple), At least 4 Derby runners this year fit the no-development profile you bring up. Greater Good, Spanish Chestnut, Closing Argument and Giacomo. Go figure. 2 apparantly hit their non-developing ceiling at least in the short term and X'd, One ran a 2 point new top and was good eno
