Nice call. A better jock may have made a difference.
The challenge is always trying to figure which figure the Cox horse will run to.

It was my 65th this weekend.Presents included a 5 digit score on Following Sea....oh wait he got shut off making a race winning move on the rail; on Ivar ....oh wait he ran the race of his life from the 14 hole but sorry he didn't get second; and Dunbar Road .....oh wait, sorry, lost a photo that you thought she won.... to a 50-1 no shot.
Can't wait to see what I get next year.

Following Sea was on the rail and wins by 2-3 if he doesn't check.

A favorite angle of mine is second off the layoff going a mile on the grass.
The 14 post may add 4-5 points on Ivar's odds. The lack of many speed types in here should get him a better trip than most expect. Checks all the boxes as far as numbers & pattern.

Max may be a bit on the lazy side. Talented for sure with a number at the Classic distance that puts him in the mix.
If you like him you're hoping the workout news gets around.

Thanks for sharing. Imperialism was in that race? Remember catching him at a big number in a turf race at Belmont. Those were the days my friend.

Agree with your point about staying inside. Franco took that route with Bonny South and ran into enough trouble in deep stretch that it may have cost her the race.
Thought that Dunbar Road was moving better than her on the turn and in the stretch. The other issue I had with his ride is for some reason he switches the stick deep stretch and she idles and bears in. He switches back and she accel

Not one that Flavian is likely to show the grandkids. Tremendous value play based on pattern of second off of the layoff numbers, being inside, and 118 pounds.
Who counts on an 8 wide turn move when you drew the rail with that pace? Can't wait to see her TG number.

If he's wide on both turns on Saturday, Midnight Bourbon beats him.

Back in the day you could count on Saratoga to flush out the septic tank of downstate racing. Not anymore.

Only 21,000 on Haskell Day. Half of them wearing their "I don't bet outfits" and carrying a drink.
One of the waitresses at the Lady's Secret bar told me she walks out of their on Friday nights (5pm post) with 5 bucks in tips.

Anyone thinking about betting serious money there should watch the replay of yesterday's Pegasus. A lost $200 4-2 exacta ticket will save me plenty going forward.

No coolers or food allowed in either. No word yet on whether the horses will be allowed in.

We all see different things. Out of respect for the person who allows us to use this forum, that is all I'm going to say on this.

Who says she wasn't a performance altering trainer? There's more to this story than getting an early peak at the competition.

The level of confidence out there that Concert Tour can get a 1 3/16 is probably pretty low.

Didn't do Mandaloun any favors with that ride. No pressure on the winner while taking the spot away that may have changed the outcome.
Would have been interesting if Geroux had been able to get outside of the winner earlier without having to put on the brakes inside to keep him from running up on his heels.

Rock Your World certainly has the talent. Would be interested in the stats on a runner trying dirt for the second time after previously running on turf only. Have never been a fan of coming back with them. Certainly not at 4/1 in a 20 horse field.

Essential Quality veered in at the start, poor action late. Just enough hay and oats on a track he loves.
You can have him in 26 days at 3-1.

A few more renewals of the Queens County and we can change the name to the Pharmaceutical Stakes. Good luck figuring this one out.
