Hey Mall:
Hope you had a good time at MNR. How do we bring this Pratt meter to reality? If we can get the specs for this meter, I can start e-mailing to all track superintendent for the next weeks, months, years to get them to use this stuff. If we can get the specs on how exactly it works, what studies were done using it to verify that it works, we will have a better case. Also, we need to

I think what my friend was trying to say is that the BC does a terrible job taking care of customers. They have an entire year to plan, they should have thousands of SAM machines and tellers so you don't have to spend 25 min in line. The same thing happens at BEl, CD, etc. Why pay $75 for a BC ticket to deal with this when you can go to Vegas, get free drinks and room for betting the same

It's the first Saturday 1986 and I was giddy with joy. It was KY day and I had a cinch. Without sheets I had the winner of the derby and told anyone who would listen. There were only 2 possible winners in the Derby according to my handicapping method at that time(Dosage)one was Groovy and the other was Ferdinand. Never mind that Ferdinand was being ridden by a has been jock and drew the

I guess the pre-entries will be available on Wed. Also, can we have all of 10/25 out by 10:00 AM ET on 10/23. I am traveling and need to download everything. I don't feel like printing 500 pages where I am going.

I didn't have the ex. but I agree that Elloluv did not cost Adoration a placing. The same exact thing happened in the next race and Tates Creek was not DQ. Elloluv was past Adoration by at least one lenght

I agree, I think he will go just for horse racing although it's asking alot of the horse but with contenders dropping like flies it's probably worth the trip. With Azeri's loss today, this horse is definitely HOY.

What kind of **** is this? Why would this horse skip the Classic this year in his home track to pay a supplemental fee next year to run at Lone Star? Obviously, the horse isn't good enough because if the owners pay the supplemental fee this year, they can run him again next year. Something must have happened to the horse, fell sorry for all those people who took 3-1 in the futures.

In the thread below, JB asked how a fast pace will help a horse artificially run a new top and there was no answer. I think we are all aware how a slower horse can bet faster horses who get killed in a speed duel but I don't know if a fast pace can cause a horse to run a new top. Any comments?

For what it's worth his horses are still running new tops or retopping. See Aldebaran, Wild Spirit, Betty's Wish, etc.

What the hell is another million to some who has a couple of billions? If the horse never wins another race, it doesn't matter, there enough money to buy another. However, it's very good for the game to have people spend money for sportsmanship. The real gamblers in horse racing are these owners who go out and spend 2 million on a yearling, that horse might never get to the track.

He is actually hurt, I believe it is a shoulder or back. He is taking some time off to see if it will help. During the 80's with Cordero and Velasquez getting all the money, you got great odds on his horses.

We've always been here. JB just had to deal with a lot of crap. Unfortunately, he has to respond to this and it takes time away from great discussions like moisture content. But, it probably will come back again but anytime you want to discuss any handicapping, just post baby!!!

I think "small or slight" is very big since the difference between two horse separated by one length in a 6f race is only 0.2%(if the race was run in 1:10 and 1:10.1.)so if you can get a surface where horses are gaining only 0.1%edge, then this is very significant.

Why are the results not published not just for NYRA but for every track. Also, what Mall was getting at (I think) is that according to him the variant will also depend on the horses running over the track. Do you find this to be a true statement?

I also believe that there is no accurate way to measure the moisture content of the track which makes this area a guesstimate. Theoritically, you should be able to measure the moisture level in the track just as easiliy as you would the humidity in the air but this cannot be done just yet. Maybe we can have a 1 cubic yard area of the exact composition of the track and keep it where it is

Why would you say none of them will win. M. D'Oro will only race 2 more times before the classic and is definitely the horse to beat. Getting hurt a little earlier in the year was a blessing in disguise.
