You didn't need to be interested in ARROGATE ... especially at the price. His 103 BSF, last time out, was tops in the race along with the favorite.
Thoro-Graph is a quality product, but I am surprised at the discrepancy here.

The other part of the MEADOWLAKE story is that I don't the fast work prior to the maiden score was published in the Daily Racing Form. The clockers made a mistake, or maybe it wasn't a mistake, but they credited the work to a horse by the name of MEADOW LAKE ... not MEADOWLAKE. That's what I seem to recall.

Sonnier might have kept it a secret, but people knew about this horse. I was there with A.J. Foyt III who was running a horse later that day at Hawthorne. He mentioned there was Sonnier horse entered that could really fly. The groom and I got fancy and decided to wheel MEADOWLAKE in the early double. Don't recall if MEADOWLAKE was in the 1st or 2nd race, but a longshot won one of the DD race

Maybe you can learn a thing or two from the Trumpster .... like stay on the attack.
Say enough good things about the competition and folks might use critical analysis and decide the cheaper option is the better value.

You should put an (X) next to the number, Jerry. One of the contestants is running against the BIAS.

TRULY BOUND was a nice filly. I think they named a stake after her at either the Fair Grounds or Churchill. She won the Oaks at one of those tracks. I wanna say it was in track record time as well.
I worked in a barn that Delp shared with another trainer at Arlington back in the early to mid 80's. What i noticed, as I walked horses around the barn, was that he had a few 2yo's in the

I don't know why the vet scratch, but I liked the horse as well. I just couldn't understand how HOT CITY GIRL is 1/2 and STROKE PLAY 5/1. I thought that was nuts. What's even more frustrating is that the winner ran to her odds ... she dusted the field by 8L.

I've been playing around with this for years. Not only do they have an edge when it's time to make a wager, but they also have an edge because they have figured out a way to produce fair odds without actual handicapping. Handicapping, on a daily basis, can take a lot out of you ... it's tiresome when it's done by hand, like I do it. I'm lucky if I can handicap a handful

I missed the World Cup too. What kind of numbers was PRINCE BISHOP showing?
Anyone have an opinion on what number they ran? Something around a 2?

At what price would you bet the favorite? I think you're getting value at anything above 4/5, IMHO.

Jerardi points to HOPPERTUNITY, and the margin of defeat, as an indication the number is probably gonna come back fast. OK, well, what about the rest of the field? HOPPERTUNITY was in a photo for third with horses at 30/1 and above.

Opening paragraph:
Once I got past the euphoria of seeing a race between two marquee horses play out exactly as we all had hoped when Shared Belief and California Chrome hooked up with 100 yards to go last Saturday
They "hooked up?" What, for a brief second? SHARED BELIEF rolls up on CALIFORNIA CHROME just outside the 1/8 pole and pulls away. There was no battle. Yeah, I was antic

Yeah, you guys created a monster. :-) New competitors are using your guys pricing structure. The product must be as good as yours if the price is the same, right? Well, that's what the reasoning seems like to me.
No, I haven't seen anyone using them.

If they're running the same number over and over, why not go with the flow and project that number for the horse?

Thanks a lot, Jerry. I would have looked at COIL a lot differently if I had known he really had a ZERO top. ;-)

Let's say you're right and Jerry gives him a 0. You're saying you would look at it as a 5 point move rather than a 3 point move (his top is/was a 3)?
While even a 3 point move is somewhat substantial, I would give this horse a decent shot at pairing that number a month from now. You probably wouldn't if you think it's a 5 point move, right?
Would your opinion on y

I agree that COIL will earn a new top, but I'm not so sure it will be a "huge new top" ... that's if Jerry and Beyer are on the same page in regard to the variant.
What would you consider a "huge new top", Mike?

I don't listen to Stein's show on a regular basis, but the times that I have, Jon Hardoon was on there touting horses. Hardoon is The Sheets rep in California. So Stein might be a little biased in his opinions on this matter.

David,
I happen to have his sheet. I'm moving at the end of the month and i'm going through my stuff to see what i want to keep and what i have to throw out. UNBRIDLED'S sheet i'm going to keep.
I've scanned the sheet in PDF format, but I don't know how to post it to the board. It's located in "my control center" if Jerry wants to get it and post

Hi, Jerry. It's been a long time. I hope all is well on your end.
I just wanted to chime in and say hello and thanks for the Belmont Stakes sheets.
Btw, what does Clemens sheet look like? Is he gonna get #300 Saturday? I saw him pitch against the ChiSox last year and was impressed by his physical condition at his advanced age.
