Track has seemed fair all day, IMO. First race the winner rode the rail most of the way, but most of the winners have come from 2w and 3w. Inside doesn't seem like death to me.

Imo when you context trip and pace, he moved forward a full point in the Travers.
At the price I'll root for a fair trip on the rail. He will be my key.

Like I said above...I'm not sure War of Will runs in the Belmont after the way he looked coming off the track tonight. Casse was queasy about running him on two weeks rest.
We'll see.

Yes, I wanted nothing to do with a horse that I've been raving about for three weeks at 6-1 with an inside post on a track with a golden rail.
The best horse in the Derby, won the Preakness.

Just an opinion, but I thought WoW looked lame walking off the track. I don't think we'll see him for a bit.

He would have won for sure if he didn't throw the jockey. You were robbed again. Good thing you have riches from all your other Derby scores to get you through this rough patch.

This. He's moved up LOTS of horses off bounces. Shackleford in the Florida Derby still blows my mind.

Haha I think everyone is cursing him right now. Not sure if I should feel happy or irritated about a 200-1 futures I had on Everfast in the Derby.

In the second turn, Game Winner was actually forced to go a couple lanes wider than he was because of Gabriel Saez reckless tactics. The stopping of horses forced GW to move out further into the track. Saez probably cost Game Winner a placing or two.

Saez intentionally drifted out and nearly took a half dozen or more horses to the ground, then he lied to everyone about what happened.
You're right. I have no problem with this suspension. This sport does not need 12-16 mammals scattered all over the track because of reckless riding in its premier television event.

Owendale had the most visually impressive Derby prep race of the season, IMO. What he did to that field at those fractions at that distance was a bit bonkers.

The head-on that wasn't shown by the broadcast pretty clearly shows him looking over his right shoulder, seeing the pressure, and allowing a lead switch to do a little race-riding on WoW. This wasn't a fluke accident where the horse freaked "becaus

Yes, let's go after Mott for stating the truth. Let's not go after Saez who lied about what happened.

Yep.. MS sure kept it straight.
The most unsavory character in this whole mess is Luis Saez who lied about what happened. He switched leads on the turn to get a rub on a rushing horse and about wiped out half the field, then lied about being spooked by the crowd noise.
Yep, the horse that went from the 1 path to the 5 path in 3 jumps is the victim.

Jim, you and others are doing a real disservice to the debate by pretending that Derby winners routinely do what Max did.

I didn't mention a thing about how this affected me. I posted that I played the Pletchers.
There is not a intellectually honest person on the planet that would watch that new angle and say with a straight face that it isn't much more egregious than they first thought.
No one!
Watch that 5 times in a row and tell me that is perfectly fine racing.

Adios. Here's the head on NBC didnt show. I dont want to play horses where this move is legal.
Also. I've changed my opinion, Saez is guilty of letting Max switch leads in the turn just after ye looked over his shoulder and saw WoW about to mow him down. He lied. He meant to drift out, but his green horse bolted.
Even Game Winner had to move 2 paths wider because of this crap.

Omg. Amazing angle there of the incident. My opinion of Saez changed too. He allowed Max to switch leads!!
Anyone still arguing that shouldn't have been called is not thinking clearly.
WoW was loaded an Tyler G said as much. Strong argument that WoW may have been the best horse in this race.

Show me another example of a Derby horse sharply moving 3 lanes wide and stopping multiple horses, and that horse not getting taken down.
This DQ wasn't normal bumping and jostling that happens in every race. Some are pretending that this happens in every race. It does not.
