Lifelong Yankee fan here so I’m not a fan of Pedro. Can’t get past him throwing Zimmer to the ground in Boston. I would have liked to see him try that with the murderers row of physical specimens that’s in our current lineup.

It was mentioned on I believe the TVG broadcast after the filly and mare sprint that it seemed the middle of the track was where you wanted to be.

Other than Echo Zulu on Friday, Asmussen had a horrible weekend. Weren’t most of his horses out in Cali for 3-4 weeks?

1. Any concern that One Timer may be the ouchie type or have issues? Two months between starts in Canada to Cali and also a two week spacing between works 10/13-10/28.
2. Barasso did not work with the rest of the Baffert crew last weekend. Last work was on 10/24. Anyone know why?
Thanks in advance,
Patrick

I purchased the pre entry package. How do I get the non BC race figs? I attempted to download the first 4 races from Friday, but I was being charged when they were put in my cart. Thanks for your help!

Did anyone see what the payout was for the pick 4 today? It wasn’t coming up on xpressbet.
Thanks,

It reminds me of the work Orb threw down the week before his Preakness flop.

I’ll be all in on Hofburg. I see a nice trip 4 or 5 lengths off the pace. Hopefully he’ll leave the gate at 6-1 or better.

If Rayya jumps forward 4pts, she wins for fun. Moving forward 2pts with a ground saving trip probably puts her in the money.

I’m not saying that I won’t be using Vino, I’ll probably be wary however. Unfortunately for me, I keyed Normandy Invasion and Frosted in recent years😳

How many years has it been since a horse has come out of the Wood and won or even finished in the trifecta in the Derby? There have been several horses with great figs and decent patterns come out of the Wood and not crack the top 3 in Louisville. Don’t know what to make of this, but it is food for thought.

I think Ike will contribute to a fast pace, not sure how far he wants to go. His dam was a sprinter in her only 2 starts. I’m going to try and get through the horizontals with just the 3,6,7.

Looked to my untrained eye that the jockey was all in on Bolt turning for home. He gave him several cracks of the whip and never quit riding. Trainer can spin it however he wants, but they let Justify walk through 6f today, absolutely no pressure.

Frank,
We should have combined tickets. I got knocked out in leg one but was solid the rest of the way. I respect you as a handicapper so I’m curious how you came up with the 3 in leg one? If I had an unlimited supply of money he wouldn’t have made my top 7 in that race. I was 6789 on my ticket. The only justification I could come up with in hindsight was that he had an Ortiz on his back. Ho

Are any tgenerates going to be at Tampa on Saturday for the Sam F Davis card? I will be in attendance if anyone is around and wants to compare handicapping notes or have a cocktail.

I’m with you on Pacific Wind. Once moved to dirt, moved up a couple of points in her last. Also, have to like the break in weights she is getting.

I am officially off the Holiday Stone bandwagon. He had the perfect trip today and could not get past. The ride on the 3 would have made me throw my remote through the tv if he was my key.

Lucky,
Based on the numbers, I think he rates a chance. Contrary to the odds, I think this race is fairly wide open. The even money favorite, although 2 points faster has not been this far yet. He could draw off from this field again or he could get passed by a few in the final 1/16th. I'm using Holiday Stone with the 3,6,7.
Good luck,
Patrick

I keyed him in my tri's. Ugly ride coming out of the turn, definitely an ugh! Oh well, should get good odds next time as well.

I'm sure you are correct, however having him as the pilot was just a bonus given the other data.

That was definitely a bad beat for the lone ticket holder, however there is a lesson in this for the handicappers on this board. The 3 horse was one of the fastest horses in the race on thoro-graph. The trainer had very good stats dirt to turf and first time turf. Mike Smith stuck around to ride the final and as a bonus you were getting double digit odds. To my way of thinking, this is the kind o
