I have a pace question for all of you. I loved War Like Goddess' runs at Saratoga. To me, very visually impressive. As i started handicapping this race from the TG Pre-Entries and DRF Pre-entries, these seems to not be much pace in here. I see Going to Vegas on the lead with Love not too far behind.
Do you think the pace will be enough to unleash the Goddess' closing speed or will Love

DRF says that the race looks wide open. Hudson Ridge looks pretty strong to me. Flashiest has solid figures but that post sucks!!

How bad are the outside posts at 9 Furlongs at TDN? Masqueparade has had six weeks off since that big number. At 8/1, i have to consider if the post is not death.

Anyone give As Seen on TV any chance? His figure two back is competitive and he was bet in the FOY. Nobody was catching Ete Indien that day. Seems worth a flyer.

I also like the three here too. Hoping the big purses keep these 3 yo fields large since they are not as important as preps any more. Will be interesting to see how much this improves the field for the Ky Derby come September as one result in February will probably not get you enough points to get into the derby

Moon over Miami is definitely intriguing. Big 2yo number and Mott seems to be more of a player in the 3yo division the last couple of years.
I do find Scabbard a little interesting. If not for the post, I would move him way up. 4th in BC Juv. Comes back as the favorite against several of these and gets blocked.
Enforceable has a run a lot but this may not be the race to beat him.

I also would be surprised if he makes 20-1. Everyone seems to love him. Hard not to like the West Coasters this year. They seem to be stronger than their eastern counterparts.

So many great points made by Frank D.
I am amazed how many horses are faster than the most likely favorite. I just have a couple things to add which are a little on the contrarian side.
Exagerrator-I know that everyone is looking for wet to move him up. If it is a wet track, his odds will go way down and I do believe that he may take over favoritism. I want a fast track. He will be pretty ju

I agree. Taking a stand against Cupid is probably guaranteeing that he runs away with this. You cannot argue with what Baffert has accomplished in this race but that will also guarantee that Cupid will get bet down and he is one of the slower in the field. He has to make a big jump up and I cannot take short odds if that needs to happen. Saying that, I am not writing him off for the derby. If he

Nice big field in the Rebel Stakes on Saturday.
With horses like Whitmore and Suddenbreakingnews drawing wide, I think that this race definitely is interesting.
Discreetness at the 12/1 ML looks very good. His figs are comparable and he is much longer. Drawing the four hole is a good post. All of the horses with similar figs are 7/2 or lower on the ML.

Hate to admit this but Zulu, at the future price, was intriguing. I know Pletcher has struggled at the derby but at 26-1, he looks like he could improve and may not have left too much on the table. A move up in the Florida Derby(not a huge one though) would have me really liking him on derby day.

Is it just me or do none of these horses jump out?
Violence has the reputation but figs aren't great.
To me, Falling Sky looks like the best chance to move forward.
He's Had Enough has a competitive fig but O'Neill not great at GP and coming back quick.
Elmutahid is interesting to me at 20-1. Trainer + Street Cry scream improvement to me. Typically, I do not like a hug

i was zenyatta not running her race away from hitting the pick-3. Of course, she was awesome. I agree that all it takes is one big hit and it makes the seminar successful for any value player. Any handicapper that puts their analysis out there and actually takes a stand will have good hits and bad misses.
I like several of the races today and i think there are a lot of opportunities to hit a b

I know that Big Brown has the biggest fig and has been visually impressive leading up to the derby. He moved forward a lot in his last race. I took a look back at the T-Graph figures in the Archives at the last 6 derbies ('02 to '07) at horses that moved forward >4.5 points in their race prior to the derby like Big Brown did.
Here is a list of Horses and their results in the derby

I like On the Virg a little in the SA derby. It is not that fast of a race but i like that this horse continues to move forward and is only slightly slower than most figures except for the 3 by el gato malo. Also, Pletcher seems to have late-bloomers like Flower Alley who fly under the radar until right before the KY derby. At 15-1, i think that he has a shot vs. Colonel John, Yankee Bravo, and E

Pyro looked impressive winning with a big late move.
There seemed to be a lot of horses that do not look like they can get 10 Furlongs in the futures list.
I liked Z Humor but I am a little concerned about his "bounce" in the BC Juveniles. I went with him discounting the bounce as track related. What does everyone think? I like a horse that is fast but not too fast going into the ne

I like Any Given Saturday if Gomez gets him any type of a trip.
He has competitive speed figs plus room to go up from his 2yo top.
He really reminds me of Bluegrass Cat, pletcher horse, highly touted early in the year, great breeding, and a race that was not quite as good as the prep right before the derby.
If he would have drew the 6th or 7th hole, i would love him but the trip is going

I would agree with Chuckles.
Looking at the T-Graph figures assigned from the derby, a slight bounce from Barbaro puts him pretty close to Brother Derek territory. Considering Barbaro has always had a month off between starts, a slight backward move or a bad draw that causes him a 3W3W type of a trip could get him beat. Also, their have been several horses that bounced in the derby and then mo

Interesting Race
Like the comments in DRF and that may cause the horse that i like a little to drift up some.
Too Much Bling looks pretty good. Best number, has kept the best company, Baffert, etc.
At equal weights, he looks tough but i like the other Baffert horse who has a competitive figure. Sionister Minister is a 1st time Baffert after a big run for Becerra. He is 2nd fastest and is
