I know who I'm playing today, so I now have too much time on my hands.
I check out, but have never purchased from the other site, but I do occasionally purchase some big days on this site as well as I sometimes post.
Here we are on one of the most active, busiest and most anticipated weeks of the year for horseplayers.
From Sat Apr 26 thru this morning, Rags (if you exclude the link

I wasn't doing TG at that time but my entire family and I got lucky that day.
My wife is the consummate $ 2.00 bettor and has only made 2-3 bets a YEAR for the last 10 years or so. So yeah, she's somewhat selective.
My son was visiting from Los Angeles and convinced me to play Giacomo. I told him the horse looked like @#$%, just got thumped in the SA Derby and if Alex doesn

I will be very surprised to find Vicar's in Trouble out breaking a handful of other horses, but anything is possible.

Reminds me of my well thought out response when my friend's wife (who doesn't know which end eats and which end kicks) asked me if I liked that Bird horse, Mine That Bird. I said, not at all, but I like that other Bird horse, Summer Bird.
She's still in my ear after all these years after she "scored" on her $ 2.00 show ticket.
Brutal.

#1 welcome to the JB/miff/jimbo66/etal forum. Only one we're missing is Ken Sherman.

#3 NEVER, EVER say that Zenyatta was better than Rachel Alexandra.
#5 Prepare to have Mike Smith impaled those half dozen times a year he gives a horse a wide trip. LOL

See that's the beautiful thing Jimbo. I'm still spending the money I made on your favorite Derby horse, Giacomo, so I get to waste my money on any personal opinion I have. Feel free to take some of my Derby money in the pools.
What is your plan B if Chrome somehow draws the 1 whole? Does it change anything in your wager, or is he just be that much better than this group? That

Jimbo,
Thanks for the thoughts but if I were to respond as I'd like, it would require me to make my second trip to church today and do yet another confession.
I'm staying with MY opinion the horse is 75% likely to meltdown. I'll already have my tickets punched for the race and be home minus the insanity of the local simulcast facility.

Mr. C.
I'll be playing several tickets which include Wicked Strong.
Since he appears to be a head case, I foresee myself holding my breath until he gets loaded in the gate.
The one shipper of JJ that I recall was Elusive Quality in the '09 Classic at Santa Anita.
I was in the walking ring watching the horse do a slow meltdown, and by the time they got ready to load the horse refused

So many concepts are placed on the board it seems like an impossible race to play with lots of confidence, unless you jump in like mjellish and a few others.
Getting a clean trip with a solid contender probably trumps everything else, keep statement being "solid contender".
I've had very good success in the past just tracking which jockeys continuously find themselves in trouble

I took a quick look at the Dosage Index site and the only horses with DI higher than 3.50 are
Intense Holiday 3.80
Vicar In Trouble 5.00
Wildcat Red 5.67
Vinceremos 7.00
I don't know if there are others that should be included on that site due to late deletions or additions.
Looks like they included 25-30 of the Derby potentials listed.

Thanks wrongly, I would have never figured that out on my own. I was trying to get someone else to do the work for me since I bought a new computer yesterday and have installed lots of software thus far, excel/word notwithstanding.
Not to waste your time, but I've done a spreadsheet or two since I was doing reel to reel computers in the Air Force in 1971.

I don't have the software (Excel) but kmart could you go to column D and sort a descending order that will put all the winners together, all the 2nd place horses together, etc.
Possible there may be some of the data that suggests all the winners shared some of the same pattern?
Thanks

I've done similar to this, typically inconclusive because half are above and the other half below any set standard. I've had better success "dividing" the winners into 4 areas of their race. I.E. first flight of horses, second flight of horses, third flight of horses, and fourth flight. Separating where the winners were DURING the race to draw a correlation as to their abil

Help me out here Mike. You say "On reduced takeout, history shows a handle spike reverts back to previous volume within months. Racing has highest takeout of any form of permitted wagering and yet requires subsidies to stay afloat. How's that?"

Democratic administration officials and judicial system all the way from New York to D.C. If they choose to (and they have) take him down it will be painful for Mr. Asmussen.
Wouldn't it be ironic if Curlin and Rachel get inducted and Asmussen gets indicted?

Not taking an issue with your views. At the end of the day, if the powers that be care to pursue the underpayment of wages and the admitted procuring of social security numbers will spell huge trouble. This bunch places themselves in real jeopardy with different governmental agencies, if the Wage and Hour, Social Security Administration, or IRS take an interest in this scenario, it will be very,

Not a lawyer here. Do you really think they need to introduce these videos as evidence to the horseracing public? Don't you think the videos are convincing enough?
Blasi seems like he needs to expand on his vocabulary just a bit. Since he and Asmussen have brought this on themselves, would have loved to listen in on their first conversation after the video was viewed by them. Typically

TGJB,
I already said earlier that Blame deserves to be HOTY. Period. If he wins, it is deserved. If Z gets the nod, people will holler but that's tough @#$%& since we're not casting any votes here. Far as I'm concerned any 6 year old mare running against the best male dirt horses available is unheard of. Had Z gotten there, it would have been no contest, but she was beaten by
