That certainly addresses the pick 6 as it references that specific wager :
"contested pick 6 races"
Count me as one who had 1st 2 pick 5 legs today with about 15 live horses.
Not too thrilled to get a refund when probably 50% or more of tickets wagered were already eliminated.
Imagine the 6 to 1 was a 60 to 1 in first leg?
I would be suing them for my Maserati and new Beac

Richie,
Speaking of Henry deKwiatkowski, he also owned Conquistador Cielo (1st in the streak and Danzig Connection. (the last).
And he owned Danzig who won his only 3 career starts.
Not bad for a Polish immigrant
Was present for Danzig's last effort...which was a 7f dash at Belmont a little while back when I had a full head of hair...:)

The Good:
The Weather, the Tgenerate Convention, the Competition....and (according to Fairmount).....the Fashion Show!
The Bad:
GW Bridge traffic (1 1/2 delay.). Left Pa. at 7 am and missed the 11:35 1st post. Definitely a SLOW PACE designation!
The Ugly:
No internet connection on track for 5 hours.
NYRA WiFi signal too weak, unsecure and constantly disconnecting, prompting fo

Fairmount,
Plan on being at Belmont.
It's a 2 1/2 hour drive from Pa.
I usually drive down with a group of guys the day of the race.
We already have reserved seats. We may have an extra ticket. I will check.
Let me know your itinerary.
If you plan an extended stay on East Coast post the 'Ol Hilltop, you are welcome to stay in Pa. a few days.
Might enjoy a visit to Poc

For many years, much of my action went to Keystone/Philly Park/Parx and Penn National.
Jose was one of the very top riders in those jockey colonies.
He was the leading rider at Penn National 4 times and certainly a go to jock.
Very hard for me to believe he was 57.
Very hard to believe he is gone.
May he rest in peace.

Frank,
An old harness driver at Pocono Downs used to laugh when the thoroughbred gang were finally getting around to banning 'milkshakes'.
Told me he used them back in his 1960's-1970's heyday.
Of course, the feature race had a purse of $500 in those days.
Whole lot of wheelin and dealin.

SA was "leased" for the race.
In a TVG interview Saturday, (I forget the name as I was half listening) , a fellow owner or trainer questioned whether SA would gun for the lead. He noted that SA's workouts were the type (slower quarters early and faster late) that indicated they wanted the horse to rate.
To be honest, I was more busy with the AQU card that day and was no

Richie,
The 6th at GP today required a TG 10 at most to win.
The 1st time Vitalis had not run on the turf since August despite having his lifetime top on turf.
Only one dirt race was close to his 4 turf efforts.
Makes one wonder what the other two conditioners were thinking when they constantly ran this horse on the dirt.
Only two others in the field looked remotely competitive.

This is the Paulick report article about California horses that 'train' on steroids re Masochistic from 2016.
Seems that horse give steroids to 'recover" from "injuries"are put on vets list for 60 days ....After that, they are free to race.
Is there a list available of horses that were put on vets list due to being administered anabolic steroids?

As long as I am on site,
The 8th is interesting turf sprint:
#3 7yo Undrafted apparent fave with competitive # but deep closing style that often portends a wide trip. Hoping he doesn't get there.
#1 Angry Moon, #2 Chief Lion are pretty speedy, erratic and probably not best on turf. Ditto for Life in Shambles #8
Liking # 5 Take Cover . Seems versatile in running style.

Many trainers point to this short met based on purse structure.
Frank mentioned some conversations he had during Saratoga meet to that effect.

It was the best of weather. It was the worst of weather.
Arrived at Siro's during the first race recap. Sparse crowd attending.
A couple of young cappers (one a tourney qualifier) were new faces to me.
Unlike Seminar Stenographer Sean D., they took no notes. Must be nice to be young! :)
Hoping they stop by the Backyard behind the mac n cheese truck. Tables and seating in abundance.

Interesting WV Derby:
Just finishing that sequence.
Waiting for a weather report and changes. Since the incumbent meteorologist is apparently either in retirement or on the TVG Whitney Walk with richiebee and jimbo, I am having to rely on the Weather Channel.
Looks like possible showers all over the East Coast.
As to the 8th race, the Navarro is lightly raced

Wow!
A flexing Draymond Green posting on the TG Forum!! :)
Yes KD is putting up new "tops" in each game and has yet to bounce.
He has been 'well handled' with good spacing between games and the "time off" earlier in the season.
Now, he has to "ship" to another venue. A cross country trip to a 'physically' tiring surface on sh

OP came home in 33.70 for final 3/8ths.
22.72 and then 10.98 final 1/8th.
Pretty difficult to close into those fractions.
I don't do the race designations but here are some comparisons on fractions
