Deadster
Think we had a similar discussion on this Board a while back.
A small group of fellows (most have since passed away) did the same thing with show bets at Pocono Downs.
The Show pools were very small ($500 to $1000 in 8 horse field). Some real long shots had 0 $$ bet on them. They would bet $1000 to show on longshot and then fire away offshore on the favorite at multiple sites.

HP,
Another vote for Electro in this debate.
If you have the "right" to post whatever your wish ....fine
But let others do the same without the "you know nothing" rants.
Electro demonstrated much expertise in explaining how these medications are administered and metabolized by horses.
I appreciate his input.

Be interesting to see the final TG's for this race.
Somehow, MC managed to move from the #2 hole and a nice stalking spot to be the widest of the wide.
No betting interest in the race. (played more Oaklawn than CD based on how tough the card was and also my historical propensity for losing on the 1st Saturday in May :) )
I do find the overhead views on the turns visually demonstrat

Interesting story.

Off topic I suppose but the inventor of PCR was Kary Mullis who wrote an interesting book:

Excellent seminar. Entertaining, Fun and Very Specific.
Enjoyed THOROLY.
Realize that you cannot cover 'everything' (and one can God forbid pass a race) but I do think the Cigar Mile changes a bit if it rains as forecast and we get slop/mud.
A likely Firenze Fire scratch would certainly alter the odds etc.
Thanks
Great addition

The initial folks who received these gift packages have already been charged as well as the chemistry majors and manufacturing experts.
The 'distributors' are key, in my mind because:
1) they are pleading GUILTY
2) the GUILTY plea bargain indicates that there is probably cooperation
The real questions are;
1) Who 'orchestrated' and 'operated' the distri

PARX - 3 years ago
Uncle Bill can stay home and rest some more:
PARX cancels Sept 26 Pennsylvania Derby and all the festivites
Few days old but just received info.
For those unaware, a motley crew of Tgenerates generally meet at PARX post the Saratoga Meet for some banter, ballbusting and racing led by Uncle Bill
Hope all are well

I am not making any reservations.
Despite a close connection to some Tiz the Law partners,
I doubt even owners will be on the grounds.
Belmont was pretty bad for the owners. A TV and Pennell’s hardly a substitute for

Another consideration was the human connection.
Trainer Lawrence had Glorious Empire who, not that long ago, busted out on the Saratoga Lawn late July 2017 and mowed down rivals at generous odds in a very nice 2018 season. Bowling Green and Sword Dancer come to mind.

Highly recommended on TG as I recall.
Think he went off off 23-1.
Was holding court with some veteran punters in the clubhouse at Pocono Downs.
Still receiving accolades to this day for that pick. :):)
Definitely SC and the Volponi BC.
And I am assuming Lemon Drop Kid is already in the TG HOF.

Also heard Rene Allard (no relation to Ed Allard the thoroghbred trainer)a Pocono Downs trainer had been brought in by FBI. Believe he is Canadian. Played poker with him at the Mohegan Sun Casino many times.
That is local hearsay.

2001 was so cold and windy literally no one sat outside.
Standing all day in a cramped grandstand, Went looking for a cup of coffee.
They were not serving coffee that day.
Hard to believe but true.

Happened to be watching.
From my view:
4 clearly bumped the 6 who nearly went down.
6 was just beginning his move from rear of pack and
appeared to have momentum.
6 was surely moving up in the small field.
6 never recovered and (using the rule that he was denied better placing due to interference) he was certainly harmed.
Other than that, the 4 won by a decent margin.
But I said t
