Jerry,
Am on a road trip this weekend and missed a lot of TV banter.
It was my impression that Chrome was going to be pointed to the Pegasus.
I could very well have misunderstood.
Per comments above,
For us AARP handicappers, it is easy to cite the great ones of yesteryear. Dr. Fager, Damascus, Riva Ridge, Big Red, Forego, Slew, Affirmed, Alydar, The Bid, John Henry, All Along, Perso

Happy 58th Shannie!!
I'll chip in with the 9th at Kee: The Raven Run
Probably take a 3 or better to take down this Grade II 7f dash.
I am sure some of the Backyard will recall the Prioress at SAR and # Lucy N Ethel. Especially Sean who I hope is thriving in Conn!!
Assuming all 12 run and fast track:
1) Covey Trace -ran a CT top that would be borderline competitive if paired. N

Fairmount,
What is interesting is that the Backyard seminar host TGJB was very positive on the #3 in the 9th, pretty much said single the 3 in the 10th and very strong on the 22 to 1 #2 in the 10th.
Quite a seminar today.
Not just the positive plays but also identified a number of 'negative' reads on horses that were bet.

There was a FrankQuake in the Backyard yesterday afternoon.
The tremors were actually felt Friday when Frank D pointed out Shamans Ghost as his play of the meet. (subsequently posted the pick).
Frank arrived with his cooler full of food and beverages and departed with it full of green! (no Iceberg or Bibb for Frank....it was the US Mint kind of green).
Heard this Quake registered a new t

Fairmount,
Backyard has been calling your handicapping acumen into question. :):)
After all, you misidentified the Sabrett connoissuer in the group photo.
That would have been Sean D., the "Backyard Joey Chestnuts."
BTW, Sean D, after a brief stint at Albany Medical was the first to load in the Backyard starting gate Friday and, like Flintshire, brought a runningmate in daughter

Tavasco cat,
My pre race note was to use 6 in small vertical play.
A few seem faster and the 3 and 4 hail from 2 barns that are going well.
6 has some "trainer intent" angles. Owner/trainer claim. Shipping in from Belmont. (Why not wait a week).
Mattie's one of those under the radar type guys.
Hope I do not give you the "kiss o death" but I kind of like y

Despite the shorter card and a few small fields, Alan still bounced from Saturday's Seminar Top which a local clocker said was a new TG track record.
Clearly, the new top set him back. TGJB always cautions that you should never run back on short rest after a new top. May have dire circumstances down the road.
So, the question is can TGAB recover?

Sean D. was the designated for seminar recap but fell ill sometime after the Travers Card.
For those who know Sean D., he is a charter member of Uncle Bill's backyard. A class act and serious student of the game, Sean is also the TG Club Champion.
According to Uncle Bill, Sean's daughter said he is doing fine. Having some tests done Monday in Albany.
For those who know Sean, you mi

Yes,
Uncle Bill was in rare form obviously spurred on by those Pa-Bred fillies!!
A noticeable bounce in his step, a very short siesta and roving eyes!!
Meanwhile, Frank left the Backyard before all the real excitement. Took his Cannnolis and went home early leaving Topcat, Warren, Davos Bill, yours truly and our host to hold fort.
Most of us were mystified by the 9th race turf event.

Quick viewpoint:
Need around an 8 to take this down.
Electro Peg likely favorite and not undeserving of that role.
Expect the 1st time Friedman #2 Can Can Babe to be pacesetter and also grab some market share.
Neither has huge edge on # power.

Since this TG forum seems to have done a Bexit or TGexit, hoping to start the 4th of July fireworks early this weekend. Had a chance to peruse the twilight card and have what I call an isolated Spot Play. (for me, this is a smaller sized spec play)
Belmont 9th 35k claimer with a 3 life condition. One mile on the turf

Thanks for the feedback.
The hit or miss engine started.
Just got out of Church and a nice surprise.
Claimed small exacta (the wheel only and not my larger keys) some win $ and a pik3.
Hope a few in the TG Dene rate fraternity were able to benefit.
Good luck the rest of the way.

Bimelech for sure.
AT the time, (1940) this was the biggest upset in Derby history.
The KD was his 3rd race in 8 days!!
His jockey Smith (was F.A. and not Mike) took Bimelech Wide for the entire trip losing by 1 1/2 lengths but earning a better FIG. :)
Then, he won the Preakness followed by the Withers and then the Belmont!

Interesting first leg to the Pick 6
Perhaps some value here in a pik 3 or a vertical play.
Assuming fast, firm and no scratches.(though I could see a defection or two)
Full field of 14.
Think it will take a TG 1 or thereabouts to win this race.
Money likely to migrate towards the #2 A Lot off the Elusive Quality jump up.
Ready for Rye might take some $ if he stays but turf #'s loo

Family wedding at 2 pm in Yonkers with a 6 pm reception.
Any thought of a "Mike Smith" detour going 10 wide from the wedding to the Cross Bronx and Triboro....well all this GPS tech cancels that concept. Looks like a 1w 1w from the Bronx to Woodcliff Lake NJ. At least I have the Twins
