Chalked out with the horse that's supposed to bounce- MBJ.
Also saved with the Pletcher chalk in the Pk's.
Couldn't get there with Lone Sailor.

Too much chalk in this pk 4.
Need something longer in the 3rd leg like #3 America's Tale who has a couple of competitive back #'s before collapsing in her last or the #9 Chocolate Martini Amoss who needs another move forward.
Have the three favorites but who needs them?

Enticed looks like a horse that can improve based on pedigree.
Both parents were 0 horses routing in their 3 yo campaigns.
Gotham performance doesn't scream Derby winner/contender to me but lets see how they score it here and what Enticed does in his next prep.
One knock for the Derby would be Enticed not wanting to run inside of horses.
It's out there that he needs an outside i

Looking for another move up from #5 She's a Julie in the 7th race second off the long layoff. Her stablemate Monomy Girl should keep Classy Act busy up near the front.Kinda sets up for a closer and she gets weight from most of them.Price should be right (12-1 ML)
In the 8th the Mott #12 likely gets first run if he hasn't been wasted wide. The added distance shouldn't be a factor.C

Pats covering -10.5 is paying around +220
Could easily happen if Foles X's off that giant performance in the NFC Championship game.

Toast Of New York backed up into Stellar Wind on the second turn when she'd already made up the ground on Gunnevera while inside of that one on the rail.
At that point Rosario had to hit the brakes with nowhere to go.
Couldn't really get her going again till he swung out mid stretch.
It looked like Irad was riding Sharp Azteca hard out of the gate but wasn't getting a respon

It wasn't Stellar Wind's best day but she still beat half the field.
Beaten for 3rd by 2 3/4 lengths while steadying on both turns.
Second turn when she was starting to put in a run.
Cleaner trip who knows Joe B?

Don't forget about Collected who would also be up there near the front.

Is it that outrageous that Stormy Liberal moved forward a point while saving ground coming off a 5 month layoff? He'd moved forward off rest before.
Richard's Boy had back figures that made him competitive.
Not Miller's fault the horses that figured didn't fire.
Roy H made perfect sense and had a dream trip sitting off the Parx horse who did the heavy lifting.

I can't handicap the race without the Jim Dandy figures.
Cloud Computing drew well here and the issue for me with Good Samaritan(came home 35.98 wrapped up late)would be if he ran too fast.
Agree that Fayeq will be used from the outside.

Or maybe the four straight races in the -5 range over a seven month period took a toll.

To be fair Ransom the Moon's fourteen races prior to the trainer change came on turf or synthetics and all were routing.
Surface switch and cutback to sprints maybe part of the giant move up with this D'Amato horse.

Twisted Tom and Tapwrit project for trips saving ground in behind the group of four up front(Gormley,Meantime,IWC,and Epicharis)
Epicharis has a race two back where he sat tucked in behind horses.
Gormley sat behind horses his last two.
If either of those two are sent this pace could be fast.
Patch trying to get the lead from the outside would make for a fast pace.
I guess Pletcher could

Unlike Cloud Computing he'd need to improve.
Agree on the pedigree angle but how do you feel about the 11 weeks since his last race?
Twisted Tom is the other horse with a strong female family for the distance who'd need to improve. He comes in with 7 weeks between races.
Any thoughts on this much rest for horses having to go 12 furlongs?

Unless Casse changed his mind they were leaning toward taking the blinkers off CE for the Belmont.

On the bottom Tapwrit's dam sire is Successful Appeal(not much help there) but the 2nd and 3rd dam sires are Hawkster and Seattle Slew.
There are some that come in faster but none of them have to run back to those tops at 12f's.
I like Tapwrit to at least pair up but with fourteen or more a possibility the draw is a big deal.
The two interesting pedigrees on the bottom are Twis

Looks like more potential pace/stalker types in this years Belmont compared to most years.
If Tapwrit is sent there is also Gormley,Irap,Conquest Mo and IWC if he runs.
Sounds like CE might go blinkers off.
I'm going to start my handicapping around Tapwrit even if he isn't sent.
Joe B-IWC has a better chance of getting the distance than CE IMO.

The only trips that seem predictable are for Cloud Computing and Multiplier saving ground.
Cloud Computing gets a suck around trip in behind the speed and Multiplier a suck up trip from mid pack.
AD,CMM and CE if he breaks sharply are siting 1-2-3 in some order.
Cloud Computing has to be in the pocket saving ground.
No reason for Multiplier to get off the rail.

As opposed to CE who hasn't broken sharply from the gate since last year when he was 1st and 2nd blinkers.

McCraken has the same distance limitations as PJ.
I think it's obvious now.
Similar moves coming off the turn in the KYJC,Sam Davis,BG and again yesterday.
He won a couple at 8.5f's but that's where he maxed out.
They had him ready to run yesterday.Looks like his best distance will be a one turn mile or maybe as a closing sprinter.
