I have owned thoroughbreds since 1990 in various partnerships. Hundreds of horses.Time for Chemical Bobby to go. Sure, He has powerful owners who are well connected and protect him. What about other powerful owners who spend 7 figures on horses that compete against him and have no chance.
SO TIRED OF IT!

17 Post for KY Derby 0-41. Of course I am sure none were 3/5 morning odds -- still in a field of 18 for this race -- no thanks.

Lidocaine. Baffert's lawyer says the contamination came from an employee's pain patch -- whatever that is.

I read somewhere that it was a new designer drug and not lidocaine. If true, I am sure the defense will be that the drug wasn't on the banned list (because it is a new drug). NY Times did say it was lidocaine though.

The LA County is considering another 3 month lockdown. Mentioned it yesterday. LA will be in flames if that happens.

Great news and that wasn't easy. County Board of Supervisors are no fans of racing (Newsom either) and are PETA sympathizers. There was a training breakdown last Friday that I thought may doom this but thankfully no. Restrictions are very severe including jockeys and valets living on the grounds.

A great reason not to play Oaklawn or any place he races horses. I feel the same about P Miller. If you "just have to throw them in" I don't want to play. Get rid of these 30% guys. "Common sense isn't so common... ."

I must say, Oaklawn has done a terrific job with their race cards. With especially Santa Anita being closed (maybe a new decision tomorrow hopefully), I have been drawn to that track and have even had some success with their P5 sequence. The card on Saturday will be a minefield with 14 races with up to 14 horses but it should be a lot of fun.

I have no reason -- at all -- to think the West's were complicit with their Servis dealings but they are really smart people and hard to imagine they didn't at least have some pause in dealing with him. They have been very generous with their massive donations over the years. They sure have had some poor luck with the DQ in the Derby and now this. Good luck collecting -- lawyers will d

I have one running on Saturday. As of a couple of hours ago -- still on. They are pretty sure the meet will end after Saturday (assuming there is a Saturday).

Judge Angelucci (Whittingham) is the horse who hooked me as a bettor and future owner at Hollywood Park in 1988. For those with time on their hands (everyone), google the 1988 Big Cap one that he did not win. I claimed my first horse in 1990 also at Hollywood Park, Latin American, who eventually won the Grade 1 (at the time) Californian. Does anyone know about Judge? I looked him up on horseracin

Santa Anita will only allow trainers and their immediate staff to attend races. Owners of the horses participating are not allowed.

First, I am not a lawyer.
I wonder if racketeering fits the bill --
The element of 'racketeering activity' is extremely broad. The statute includes kidnapping, gambling, arson, robbery, bribery, extortion, or a list of many other criminal statutes. The more common statutes include fraud, obstruction of law enforcement, forgery, and trafficking statutes.

Why is there not a National Commissioner to run horse racing like in every other sport. I am an owner in a MLS soccer team. Don Garber is our Commissioner and he runs just about everything at a macro level. Of course, the virus is a big and important topic at the moment. He is guiding the league. The same with the Astros and Red Sox. The Commissioner took an action albeit weak in my opinion. Thos
