Alan Carasso of TDN on ATR with me yesterday explained Pure Sensation had a small hoof abscess pop and drain. They couldn't take him to the track for 2 mornings because of it though. Expect him back today.

Corey Lanerie.. except it didn't work out so well for him and Mo Tom in the Risen Star and LA Derby.
But Lanerie is big on saving ground.

That testing obviously wreaking havoc in SoCal on a lot of outfits..

Australia's TAB apparently has/had a model to offer fixed odds wagering within the pari-mutuels. Stan Bergstein wrote about it and the studies Ainslie and Gomez offered while working with him:

First and foremost, RIP Rock Fall. Sympathies to Stonestreet & TAP teams, breeder Tom Ryan.
No one including Work All Week's career-ender in their tally? I guess spates of injuries and fatalities are only kept close track of at Aqueduct. As I tweeted earlier, good thing Cup isn't at Belmont, because if same situation was happening there right now, there'd be hysteria from th

Agree on Pharoah appearance. Looked better than even 2 weeks ago at Churchill. It's remarkable.

Also be aware that in addition to Fame and Power in the Lexington (KEE 10th; 5:18p ET), Wolf Man Rocket -- between Fame and Win the Space in that SA 7f MSW -- runs in the Northern Spur (OP 10th; 6:41p ET).. With any progress from the 4.25, Win the Space appears to have an authentic opportunity to come with one run and pick up a real piece.

Right out of Santa Anita on Huntington, left and straight down Rosemead to the long time racetracker institution in Pico Rivera.. The Dal Rae. If you remember and liked Monty's in Pasadena, you know what to expect.
Tableside Ceasar Salad. Rock Shrimp appy. Famed House 'Pepper' Steak. The kind of place that doesn't exist anymore..
If you want to go into downtown L.A.,

There's a lot of oafish, insipid and downright ignorant spew written on the internet, but you've managed to hit a glorious new high (low) with this inexcusable smear of as good a horseman as there is in the sport.
An overage for anti-inflammatory Methylprednisolone, used by everyone to treat arthritic joints, is as innocuous a violation as anyone receives. Proctor's record in a

Anyone making a trip to Santa Anita needs to get a dinner in at the Dal Rae in Pico Rivera. It's 20 minutes south of Arcadia but a long time track habitué. It is a quintessential, old school, red leather banquette experience complete with tableside Caesar Salad preparation. If anyone knew Monty's in Pasadena and misses it, this is your more than suitable replacement.

I know 4 months is a long time ago, but as a fact-based refresher, here's Crist's note about anticipated delay in P5 introduction...
(And as an added FYI, NYRA first started the procedure with the state for P5 approval early in 2012.)
Will there be a new, low-takeout pick-five when Saratoga opens? Fans are clamoring for it, track officials want it, but the heavy h

Oy vey Frank.. Ortiz herded Rivera out at least 5 paths. It's actually refreshing to see stewards punish that with a DQ. In NY, it goes completely un-addressed on a near daily basis.
